"how many steps have you climbed?" |

ROTFL. That must have sucked major ass right then. I would have been so pissed.

LOL. I'm glad Andrew/Dan chose this detour, or we'll never get to see the twist coming!
I'm pretty sure the producers wanted the teams to climb the stairs at least TWICE. No one would figure out the number of steps would be the answer. *inserts Tina's evil laugh*

I'm pretty sure the producers wanted the teams to climb the stairs at least TWICE. No one would figure out the number of steps would be the answer. Really? When they started climbing I was like "I hope they're counting the steps while they do this!" It seemed incredibly obvious to me. |

Heh. It actually seems to me that it was the faster of the two tasks...if the team was intuitive enough to figure out that the number of stairs climbed would
be the mystery question.

That was hilarious. The look on their faces when the guy asked that question... |

I had a funny feeling that there was a reason why they had to climb the stairs a certain way. I kept thinking it had something to do with spirituality, since
it was a church but it was so blatently simple in the end. Like, hello, your facing the steps as you're going up.

I was hoping they'd be asked a different question the second time up.

Who didn't know that the question would be how many steps? Well..aside from the 2 that climbed them.
That seemed obvious to me. Wonder why they were the only team to choose that task when clearly it was the faster of the 2. It's not even like any teams had to wait on the netting since only 3 at a time could go down. They all got there and just went so the stairs must have been a LOT quicker. |

Watching it I was surprised by the question, because I just wasn't paying attention. However, I would have counted the steps if I had been there, if for
no other reason than just to know how many I knee'd my way up. Knowing that there would be a question at the top? One of us would have been counting
while the other noticed everything else on those stairs.
Still, it was a funny moment. |

I wouldn't call it the faster of the two. The other one was much closer to the pit stop, and still, we've seen teams fuck up counting tasks plenty of
times before.

Yeah the other one was very close to the pitstop.

I saw them climbing the first time and I was like, "Aren't you the smart guys? Why aren't you counting the number of steps/drummers?" Still,
despite it being further away, anyone with half a brain could've finished that before the cargo net climb.

I was really hoping for the second time up the question to be "What is the capital of Brazil?" or something random. That would have rocked, and they
would have quit.

Yeah if the thought didn't go through your head that a "mystery question" after climbing steps on your hands and knees might be "how many
steps did you climb" then you should probably be sent back a grade

You really didn't expect that it was the "mystery question"? |

UGH don't even front im sure everyone who watched didn't know that was the mystery question.

I thought the steps question was too obvious as well - the task seemed closer and even with a redo couldn't have taken that long. I love the idea of them
changing the question each time - ideally they'd have a selection of items at the bottom and ask them to remember a random detail about them.
After the rather fiendish extra details to the coin task in TARA3 it was a little disappointing since there were so few steps (if it was like that massive stairway in TAR11 it'd be different) |
