He really got into it and it looked like he was having fun (after his initial horror at finding out he would be fighting a girl). Ty in spandex - Hmmmm. Dallas in spandex - Yowsa! Divorcees can stick around awhile for the laugh factor (seriously - you're bra falls off the ledge and it becomes your biggest concern on the race?) I really don't like them though. Watching one wipe out on the bike was entertaining.

If you get a clue that: 1) tells you to walk, not use a taxi 2) the U-turn is ahead Why not take a taxi, save some time upfront, leapfrog a bunch of people, then U-turn someone after you've finished the detour: Time saved on taxi ride + time another team loses doing the other Detour > 30 minute penalty If that's true, why not? Sure, you'll lose time on the rest of the field, but all you need is a bunching and you've made up the time on the field.

And with the road block, you have to be sure of which teams are behind you, & it will take them at least 30 minutes to do the other detour. But if does work out, great strategy!
