May their souls regret it. Nevertheless, my thought today is that the "war on terrorism" is being fought completely backwards. Why are we fighting them using conventional warmongering strategies? The correct strategy is to sever economic ties and put them on ignore. Why haven't we simply severed economic ties with them, completely and utterly?

Are you able to deal with the complex thought that religious crackpots DO believe that America deserved it, and/or earned it, by their behavior towards other countries? I am not a crackpot religious person. I am one of those few atheists who also embraces individual rights. I reject the government by taxation which 99% of the Earth's population has erroneously embraced as the "only" way to keep civilization alive. I was at the time trying to come to grips with how 9/11 could have happened, and how others around the world view the U.S. and rationalize the act of terrorism in their own minds. I do not share that view.

I also believe that they're using their religion as a crutch -- without it, they would still find a way to make it "us vs. them". That being said, you are backpeddling. You were not trying to understand how it could have happened; you were gleefully pointing fingers, posting thoughtless, crazy shit about how America had it coming during a time when mostly sentient, not-so batshit crazy beings were trying to deal with the enormity of changed lives, changed policies.

Were you evacuated from your place of business on that day??? I was. I'm sorry if I didn't behave in a way to suit you, Eury, but my workplace was considered too close to a possible target for terrorist activity and we were all told to go straight home, away from the downtown core. it was certainly not from some kind of glee that I was posting the way I was, I can assure you.

Leonard Peikoff, the undisputed heir to the objectivist throne, (AMAI likes them) stated on September 12th 2001 that the US should have nuked Afghanistan's Taliban/al-Qaeda stronghold.
