I still dont understand why Hatch gets 100% of the credit for the alliance idea just because he won. He got lucky that Kelly flaked out on Sue at F4 in the revote or he could have lost.

I like him and all, and he's one of my top 20 favorite players, but for fuck's sake, he barely did ANYTHING compared to half the players on the list.

Granted, there's still plenty of retards, but for every Denise, you have a Peih-Gee, and for every Jan, you have a Clay.

Hell, in Palau, the actual fans (Tom/Ian/Katie/Stephenie) formed an alliance on Day One that pretty much dominated.

Both were older, started on the fringes, and used social skills to gradually become the core of the ruling alliance. Cirie had her Colby (Aras) and Keith (Danielle), who would have taken her to the end. The differences? Cirie didn't make it past F4, and Cirie likely loses to Aras 4-3 on votes from 3 male jurors plus Courtney. There is a difference. The thread title suggests one thing. But didn't the survey questions highlight strategy or gameplay as the creteria? On one hand, Tom is one of the greatest player, but the structure of his season (no switch and his 5 always having the numbers) and his immunity streak make it harder to evaluate him as a stategic player. On the other hand, some female players (Lill, Cassie) showed some strategy at the end, but were just incredibly lucky to be playing past the merge.

If you're enough of an asset to your tribe to make it to the merge, then it's really all about maneuvering yourself from that point on.

Put someone who dominated their season in another season and they might be the first one voted off. It's like arguing who is the best athlete between Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky,.
