I just took a look back at all of the ballots. There's about a half-dozen that are suspect....
1) One ballot gives everyone a '10' and then gives 'Romber' two "Not In The Top 40" votes. I'll let that one slide. If someone's willing to waste their vote on that, whatever. 2) There's a few separate people on here that voted in favor of the newer seasons. Again, I'll let it slide although it was annoying to see a lot of lower votes for the earlier seasons. 3) This is the biggie. Vastly different IPs but four of five ballots in a row that are nearly identical. The coincidences are too big too ignore. And the time line is too crunched together. I think I will delete all but one of these ballots (letting that user at least have a small say) but I can't let four ballots in a row that assign high ratings to menial players & players this person is obviously a fan of. For example, they seem to give everyone in the first five seasons a "Not In The Top 40" except for people that aren't liked here strategically such as Tom Buchanan. In all of these ballots, high marks are assigned to Danielle, Stephenie (2x), Vecepia, Cirie, and pretty much everyone from Cook Islands onward. Sorry, but I'm not going to let the list get fucked over by some idiotic fanboy. I don't mind this sort of strategic balloting, but what I do mind is someone having more of a say than everyone else. I will launch a recalibrated list very soon. Since we're not too deep into this, it won't affect things much. This small sample of jihad balloting actually can't be enough to affect some falling back or moving up two or three places at most, so what you have seen of the list is mostly what you're going to get overall. |

Ian Rosenberger/Terry Deitz (-50.8%) This is the corrected version of those that didn't qualify for the list. The only person that now qualified that didn't before was Courtney Yates who was continually given "Not In The Top 40" votes by the mystery spammer. As you could tell by comparing these two lists, crappy players from earlier seasons such as Tom Buchanan were given far more positive votes the first time around while newer players such as Alex had the same simply because they were from a recent season. Basically, the great players from the early seasons were marked down by the spammer and everyone from newer seasons receive an upgrade. I also think Natalie didn't make the Top 40 as she now has 40% of her votes going to the "Not In The Top 40" category and the spammer was giving her 10s, so there might be a new member of the Top 40. |

There's no way I can figure out who the spammer was, but the list definitely seemed to be leaning towards Craig's evidence of racial bias. I got to
thinking that either some, ahem, ethnic members were hyping up their own players (such as Cassandra) and that some people here were way inflating those from
the newer seasons. Turns out that this one dickhead sent in like five ballots that hype up about a dozen of their favorite players along with everyone from the
seasons of more recent vintage. The results certainly make a lot more sense now.

So Ozzy and Sean R have fallen 3 places, and Sean is now last on the list.
Though Danielle plummetted the most. Meanwhile Heidi gained 7 places from 54 to 47. Clay moved from 47 into the Top 40. And Eliza is Top 40 where she belongs. |

Allow someone to post five nearly identical ballots that screwed up the entire list and made it very un-reflective of popular opinion here?
