If playing well you mean outcasting one of their numbers for no reason then getting extremely lucky from a tribal swap and not having to play strategically since they kept winning challenges and still fucking it up after another tribal swap gave them #'s on both tribes, then I agree.

Extremely lucky? If you count Susie as "one of the Kotas" then you are sadly mistaken. Fact is, Kota didn't have a majority on both sides, they had it on ONE side and that was on NuNu Fang. Sorry, but it's really hard to predict when all these switches occur and late merges and all that cool stuff. I know the onion hate is pretty strong, but I try to be objective. The big mistakes I see are: Kota voting loyal Dan off over flaky Susie and Marcus choosing to play emotionally and attempting to bring Crystal in as an ally. And for the second one, I can't blame the guy, since he's good friends with Crystal's cousin outside the game.

The Onions built such a strong alliance on day one. Despite being figured out by everyone on the tribe, the alliance and the people who wanted to be apart of that alliance (Bob and Ace) was so strong that there was no way to break them up other than two switches (Marcus and Jacquie).

Oh and btw, even AFTER outcasting one of their members, Susie was still willing to go to the end with Kota 6. Again, the unlucky outside relationship probably had a lot to do with how Marcus handled the sharing of information with Crystal. Even though he would have ended up revealing the vote to Kenny/Crystal anyway (which he did), Crystal would not have had 1) Marcus' promise to her and 2) the dirt on how much everyone hated Susie, crucial ammo to flipping Susie on Marcus.
