He'd be my first choice :) I think he's on a tribe with a lot of bitter people (GC seems unhappy most of the time, Crystal hates her team, Crystal has no use for lawyers, Matty has no use for anyone in a suit; I don't know if Randy has a problem with Dan but Randy seems to hate Fang). I'm also not sure how great his social skills are in the game. Then there's the "too good to be true" factor. Someone being honest and open and nice is automatically viewed with hostility by many people. He also seems to be somewhat awkward in how he plays the game. I wonder how he would have done on a team with Charlie. Charlie describes himself as insecure, so that might have been a bad mix. Still, I would have liked to have seen how Dan would have fit in with Marcus, Charlie, Bob, etc.

There will be some animosity and envy (from Marcus of course). Dan will be targeted first if he somehow gets switched to the Onions-dominating tribe.

Finally got around to seeing Survivor and a pox on those editors for not showing enough Dan. How am I supposed to develop a thorough psychoanalytic profile with the mere scraps I got from this episode??? Soldiering on, however, some observations: * The way his eyes darted nervously back and forth between the bickering GC & Randy. Our man Dan doesn't like conflict and needs the people around him to live in harmony. He is not the type to stir shit up and delight in watching people squirm, so the whole career as a lawyer thing really confounds me, unless he did something fairly non-confrontational like corporate law. He must have convinced (or lied to) himself at one point that being a lawyer was what he wanted. * That pretty intense moment in the challenge when he yelled out to Crystal that he couldn't hold out much longer. Clearly, he's not afraid to appear vulnerable and ask for help when he needs it. How refreshing. * Intro vid in Insider Clips. How his voice cracks when he says he likes himself as a person. It's funny. * M.E.A.T.Y T.H.I.G.H.S - nuff said * His clear blue eyes. If I could, I would scoop them out and put them in an egg cup on my nightstand.

If Dan does last long enough, I'm sure the episodes will expand on that whole "I'm trying to find myself" storyline. That would be nice :) And I'm sure that's why he isn't a lawyer anymore, dealing with conflict wore him down and made him depressed. Of course I could be completely wrong but that seems to make the most sense.
