Hey, he didn't suck, he just had a stalker with webbed feet that made him all fraidy.

Poor Marcus. If he wins, it's going to be a looong 39 days.

Well, I mean, Marcus obviously likes the attention. Anyone would.
Charlie is just a pathetic excuse for a human being. If it helps Marcus' game, then great. |

I'm just waiting for Charlie to start yelling "I REFUSE TO DIMINISH MY CHARCATER TO SURVIVE!!!11!!" The thing that makes Charlie even more pathetic though is he had this thing for Marcus instantly, at at least took Craig 3 weeks of living in the house with Anthony before his stalking started. Craig > Charlie. And that is saying a lot. |

The part where Charlie said he didn't know why the women weren't into Marcus sort of confirmed for me that a lot of the people there must see through Marcus' smarminess. Charlie apparently can't. Charlie is pathetic, but Marcus comes across somewhat an enabler. If this continues I think they're going to be uncomfortable to watch. Craig > Charlie. And that is saying a lot.Didn't Craig latch onto vile, xenophobic Maxwell and Saskia before he became obsessed with Anthony? We shouldn't give Craig too much of a pass.

I already feel sorry for Charlie. Not good for his game at all.

Didn't Todd let that Jean Le Luc dude think he was the all that?

He made Brandon, Coby and Todd look like Tommy Lee by comparaison. |

He did do other things in the episode that were smart strategically. It's just that he seems to LOVE Marcus so much. Maybe he didn't realize how that
would be used in editing. I hope he's watching those scenes and cringing.

You guys are butter in the warm hands of the editors. I don't see how it is possible that Charlie did well at U.Penn and Fordham Law and survived a year
at one of the toughest law firms in the business WITHOUT knowing to be wary of egocentric straight men. He's already a survivor of years of a highly
competitive environment. Underestimate him at your own peril.

It all stems from the fact that Marcus looked him "in the eyes" and picked him at the pick'em. Now Charlie believes there must be something there
since the cool straight guy actually noticed him.

Peril? Oh you mean for those times when we are driving over a cliff while we are watching Survivor.

I think he is genuinely infatuated and like many men before him he's so wrapped up in acceptance from the "hot", popular, heterosexual alpha male, acceptance he may not have ever had before, that he loses focus. |

I think the producers told them they want drama -- so Marcus and Charlie are playing around cuz drama = more screen time.
<<Peril? Oh you mean for those times when we are driving over a cliff while we are watching Survivor. >> Yes, that is precisely what I meant. |

Are you SURE you are talking about Charlie here?I wouldn't have thought so before this episode, but he was all but saying, "He likes me! He really really likes me!" He seems to be so astonished that the straight, cool jock actually wants to spend time with him. Charlie seems smart and successful based on his bio, but that type of stuff can throw anyone for a loop, because Survivor is all about high school. |
