It's a double-edged sword. On one hand, Fang sucks, so getting rid of them would make me happy. That said, the audience is totally on their side as of now because we know so little about Kota (we know a bit about Charlie, a bit about Bob, and that's it). So while I think the Kota tribemates might be better, perhaps the season will have more going for it if Fang's horrible members last a little longer and can continue the drama of handling a horrible tribe. Survivor Palau we barely knew about Koror yet the fans ate that season up and loved Tom and Ian (who came from Koror).

I thought last nights episodes were actually really good, I liked how they emphasized the characters and the struggle for survival. What I didn't appreciate was the compleatly pointless race at the beginning of the show. There's no reason to have "one shot idols". I hate Exile in any of its incarnations, it really should of been a one time thing. Here is hoping that they continue to go along the "traditional" route, emphasizing persons and the adventure and the struggle, and not "the game"

I'd say Survivor went downhill after Africa aired. Fourth season onwards didn't look so hot, but PI was a nice break. Both Marquesas and Amazon were better than Africa. Maybe then they could do a one season a year thing, go opposite Big Brother or something. I dunno, I just think if they had it spread out more, people would be waiting longer and want to tune in. But I guess top 20 for eight years straight isn't too bad!

Switching Survivor to once per year isn't happening.
