I am firmly in the camp of pro-choice mostly because I can see past the rhetoric of abortion equating murder. It is about a woman's right to have control
over her body, regardless of race, class or circumstance.
Do I believe in abortion as a form of birth control? Absolutely not. For me, that is.
Would I have an abortion if I became pregnant? Maybe, maybe not. I honestly don't know. But I would never, ever put my opinion above someone else's and say they could or couldn't.
But I do believe it should be an option for women who have been raped or victims of incest or if her life were at risk due to abnormalities in the fetus or her own body. Contrary to public opinion, not all women are physiologically equipped to have babies.
My being pro-choice doesn't, and shouldn't, infringe on anyone else's right to be pro-life. I actually appreciate the ability to have the choice as to what we want to believe as individuals.
