Is it wrong to go from Pro-Choice to Pro-Life? |

Just wondering 'cause I'm feeling more pro-baby these days than I did years ago. Is life sacred or are we just bags of water? Is life still sacred
when overpopulation is the source almost all environmental and many societal problems?

People change their stances as they get older. I used to be a raging liberal.

meh. they're both pro something, so that's good. :P
i think if you don't decide to force anyone ELSE to be pro-life, it's not wrong. |

It's not wrong to change your mind, but in this case...yeah you're wrong.

Why does it matter if your pro-choice or pro-life if you're male?

I am more adamantly pro-life for my own (theoretical) spawn than I was a few years ago, but I still think people should be allowed to decide this very personal issue from themselves. I couldnt imagine forcing my opinion on someone else. |

Abortion is murder, if you don't want the kid you opened your legs to get, give him/her/it up for adoption. So to answer this anemic thread title, yes
its perfectly okay to switch to fucking common sense.

I was pro-life, then pro-choice, then pro-life, and am now firmly pro-choice. Fortunately, I never had to make a decision like that.

Ew, Gore.
What caused the change? |

Feeling one way is fine, it's when you want to force your beliefs on everyone else that it's not ok.
As for adoption, it only works if both parents agree. If the fathers grandmother won't allow the child to be adopted and convinces him to not sign the papers even though he's a drug addict then you're stuck with a baby and everyone is stuck paying for the baby. Those of you that are pro-life are you pro-welfare? Do you think it would be better for a drug addict to have five kids on welfare and in and out of foster care or five abortions? |

it works the other way around. if you've been a raging hardon conservative all your life you sometimes
snap out of it and get a reality check.

I'm actually still somewhat liberal on some issues. Mainly abortion and gay relationships. Those are the main reason I haven't gone full blown
republican. Now I sort of consider myself more Libertarian.

I think moderates probably have the most normal outlook on life.
I'm an idealistic youth so I'm super liberal, but I'm pretty sure I'll always be that way, though. Without the youth. At least greggo can back up his opinions, though. |

I blame your alma mater, zzunk. All the alumni out of there get progressively more conservative after graduation.

If you're pro-life than you should definitely vote for Obama.
Abortions go way down under democrats and stay stagnate (at best) under republicans. Abortions went way down under Clinton but stagnated with George Walker Bush. And democrats did this without turning the US into a woman-owning big government police state. So voting for Obama is a win-win. |
