I'm very opposed to rating it as one single episode. Someone like Danny has two very different edits before and after the first Tribal Council, and it
would be really inaccurate to try and come up with one rating for everything, I feel. Or, Ace possibly being INV1 after the first hour - how do you combine
that with his previous airtime. It should be separate ratings.

Definitely 2 different episodes, without a doubt. Weird transition between them, yeah, but it's definitely two separate episodes. Probst even said that.

It's definitely 2 seperate episodes. However, it's going to be hard to do ratings for both, especially since it seems like there wasn't much
visibility in the first episode.

(in darth Sidious' voice) Glad it's better, jedi. Michael My advice - rewatch to TC1's end, rate, then rewatch hour 2 and rate,clearly 2 defined episodes, IMO. You're on Survivior TAKE THAT TIE OFF DAN AND BOB!!!!!!!!!!

I guess females won't get confessionals this season.
Also, I have a question. My "spoiler" I was told happens to involve one person who is already WAY out of the running for Edgic, based on these 2 episodes (or even just the first). Does that mean I can do winner picks already? Or should I wait until they get voted out, even though they have no chance at all? |

Yeah, sorry not a lot of time anymore. I used Survivor:Fiji dvd to record over for this one -considering I never rewatch the seasons, I thought it was a safe
bet.
Not going to overthink this thing much -winner should be in those first batch of confessionals before the opening credits. predominent (winner) will be new Colby or Brandon: Africa redux, or the Jerri character they brought in, not the Jenn Lyon one. I thought maybe JC- but thinking he'll be a long haul character, that's all. |

Susie was most likely UTR1 as of the people who got introductions when they all said theyre names, she said mother and hairdresser, plus she was involved in
the Randy/Dan/Matty/her discussion on whether it would be Michelle or Gillian and she said she'd go with them. She also got bitchy with Michelle at TC.

Danny's "Episode 2" visibility was enormous compared to everyone else. By my quick count, he had 11 confessionals (roughly using the ten second rule, but it's probably off) and 4 TCQs! He'll be way off the chart when Warrior posts it... |

I will be doing a late re-watch with my mom when she gets off work (she's a second shifter at a bakery at we watch Survivor together) so I don't know if I can post tonight or sleep on it. That said, it's apparently easy for many names to be off any Edgic list already. Off the top of my head Kelly (who is that?) Jacque Susie Paloma Dan (what did he do in ep 1?) Sugar (INV ep 2????) Ace (same as sugar???) Marcus, Charlie, Ken. All stand out now. GC is there. I'm having a tough time going further than that. Corrine maybe? Fun start. Very strident editing. Immediately into scenes, not many playful moments. Ken is an underdog standing out, is that PG or Chris? Marcus and Charlie could be Tom and Ian or Steph and Rafe. I'd be foolish to eliminate any one of them. Fun first night. I needed this. Michael |

Ep1 INV I only had Jacquie and Kelly, but I'll rewatch for Susie (I jotted down UTR1 after the ep).

* And I'll just say... while the editing was a little uneven, I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's premiere. I'm pretty sure I did a little "yay, Survivor!" dance every commercial break. Shh.

Wow, the whole two episode thing makes it hard to make ratings...
Based off first impressions, my top three contenders for winning are: Crystal, Marcus and Ken. I wasn't expecting myself to like Crystal this much, and we'll see where that goes. Yellow tribe is so damn boring, very 2D. Ace/Randy were letdowns, no badass/awesome confessionals on either part. Kelly has a great edit. |
