Post restrictions may be more fitting but only if his daily post restriction is ZERO. Hate to be pedantic, OO, but a zero restriction will enable him to post to his heart's content. I think the restriction we're looking for should be closer to infinity.

It's interesting how people will say "aw, Marcus wasn't that MIA" after last season saying that Cirie was way too MIA in her first episode.
Is the episode number important? Just curious because this was exceedingly early. I'm thinking that Corinne and Charlie look a bit better right now. Perhaps it becomes a matter of getting rid of Marcus in a blindside toward the end of the game. Charlie and Corinne may look more like a possible final 2 this season. Seems that with Charlie, we've "been there done that" so most people probably don't want to consider him that high on the list. Not sure if that's the case with Corinne. The last few females have either been involved with flirting/romance (Amber, Parvati) or been pretty much invisible (Danni). It's refreshing to see a female come right out of the starting gate making good alliances and thinking of the game first, using smarts. And it's interesting how much emphasis they are putting on Bob being the "extra wheel" and "easy later boot, but good vote now". Makes you wonder why they are rubbing that in our faces so much if it were true. |

Corinne - CPN4 Starting to believe that she is going to be a distraction. Visibility - Very strong 4 or weak 5

Kelly - UTR1 After 3 weeks we get that??? She is on the wrong team. Visibility - Strong1 Marcus - MOR3 His visibility was spread through out the episode. He was a 3 in visibility but felt like a 2. That's called "well hidden". He confronted Ace regarding his strategy of using Paloma in the reward challenge. He got 2 game related questions at T.C. Visibility - Solid 3
Paloma - OTTN4 She had her torch snuffed by big bad Ace. Visibility - Strong 4
Sugar - OTTP5 This seasons sweetheart. Visibility - Strong 5… 4 times the episode average.

Crystal - MORP2 I think that we were supposed to be happy for her. Visibility - Soild 2 with challenge visibility added. Dan - UTR1 Not much from Dan. Visibility - Strong 1
G.C. - UTRN2 "I don't care if it's physical…bring it on." Then he is shown unable to break a stick. Called a cancer in his tribe…dead man walking. Visibility - Strong 1 or weak 2

Matty - UTR1 Not much from Matty. Visibility - 1
Randy - MORM3 The problem is that they are complete idiots…they don't know it but they are. Classic. He is a distraction. Visibility - Solid 3 Susie - INV1 Visibility - 1 by default

Rankings time. Sceptic wrote this a couple pages back about Randy -
Was he N? I think so, but in a good way, sort of like Parv's last year (who, I will admit, looked better in a swimsuit.) I agree with all the points, but should point out that Randy at least has bigger breasts. Oh well. Move along. Ace - OTTN4 - The negative obstacle. Good example how talking about your plans doesn't equal being complex. Everyone is onto this "mastermind". He is not the whole package per the edit. Bob - MOR2 - Not a big role but fans would remember him in the episode and it is clear he on the players minds. Certainly not the winner but will be a cog in the machine for someone. Charlie - MOR3 - Really, UTR is almost right too. He stands out just the right amount for helping define Corrine a but. I don't really see him as the winner, but an intregal player along the way. Corrine - CP3 - I see most giving her a 4, and my 3 is just based on my thoughts without adding anything up. She was very important to notice, clearly being defined now, and clearly is not living up to her ep 1 confessional. YET. That's important. Why mention it at the beginning. She calmly will cut off Bob, and the viewer can't really blame her thought process. Jacquie - INV - Or is it Jacque? Either way, she's not being given any onion layers when she needed them. Kelly - UTRN1 - If one wants to make the consideration that her brain dead response at TC merits an neutral because no casual viewers know her name that's fair. Highlighting how ignorant it sounded is enough to merit it, but as she is a non-starter, it will wash out either way. But TC is my favorite part of the show. To have included that for no other good reason just makes it worse for her. Marcus - UTR3 - I saw good reasoning to merit MOR for Marcus. It was my own opinion that as opposed to Charlie, Marcus was staying in the moment and may have been overlooked by viewers. He was, to me, purposefully left back in this episode. A string of UTR can be bad. (See Alexis.) But one, in episode 3? And some drop him? Are you nuts? Big picture. Paloma - OTTN4 - In trying to read the reality of the situation, Corrine was right to go after Ace. In classic editing style, it simply made the viewers start a process of waiting for Ace to go, but it isn't time for it yet. Paloma was a deserved boot by anyone watching. Don't shed a tear. Sugar - CPPP5 - I know she's Ace's pawn, but to me, this was a clear cut case of Survivor ordering you to love someone. No two ways about it. You will love this girl, admire her spirit, cry with her. I'm cynical enough to note that she is an actress, and that there were no animals ready to pounce, but the combo of the exile time, as well as her reactions to going, she is to be a fan favorite. No question. FANG Crystal - MORP3 - I could actually agree with neutral. Reason I gave a P wasn't the water flowing from her eyes for a moment (why is that word a big deal?), it was that her otherwise condescending words about Gillian came after Probst said worse about her, framing Crystal to be accurate. Without that, I though she was laying it on, but I read it that this time, the athlete came up big and provided Fang a win needed badly. Dan - UTR2 - He's now Fang's observer, pushing Randy into the mix with GC as the trouble with the tribe. Sugar dissed him, but that's not enough when he isn't heard from again by that point. GC - OTTN3 - To me, he is one note and one dimensional this episode, the loser with attitude. You can't tell him anything, you can't make him help you when he wants to quit, he's just someone who ended up not living up to his own proclomation of being a man. He comes off as a petulant child. I had originally thought him UTR but no, his little time is too memorable for that. And all bad. His quitting the challenge, not helping when the rest of Fang fought, pushes him into viewer's memory more than other's screen time. Ken - UTR1 - There. That's it. I like the guy, but clearly he isn't important to the outcome at the very end. Damn. Matty - UTR1 - Who is he? Where is he? What is he? How is he? When is he? At some point he'll register enough to merit some answers. Randy - MORN3 - He starts out the same, commenting on GC. But he can't do what he'd previously said, sit back and watch Fang implode. Instead he takes on GC, and gets Dan to see that he is as much a part of the problem, a co-author of dysfunction. Susie - INV - Nothing. Winner. Marcus. Corrine has excellent reason to have support. So does Marcus. Marcus stays my choice. Corrine fits Edgic well too. I can't name a solid #3 contender. Charlie is good numbers wise, but not in content. Randy is a player, but going the wrong way. Crystal has Ozzy's Micronesia edit, MOR with nothng to back it up. Nothing meaningful for her at all to fit a winner. Who else could be considered? Marcus. Corrine. Corrine. Marcus. Edge - Marcus. There's at least one Adam in Eden. And Eve is the one to, ahem James, bite the apple and cause her own eviction. I felt Cirie's first ep was UTR1, most gave her a 2. I stuck to it and eliminated her from the first episode on. The first episode is very, very important. I'm working on something to discuss that which I hope to finish soon. But that's the difference. Michael |

Even though this episode could've been better for Marcus' chances, he's still way above anyone else at this point. True, he was arrogant in his one confessional, but winners have been arrogant and then proven wrong before. See Todd with his brilliant plan - smashed. See Earl with his little spy Michelle that would surely win him the game - booted.
It's not about a smooth, effortless ride for the winner. It's usually about a journey he's taking, which rightfully ears him the check at the end. Todd acting a bit this-game-is-mine-y and heartless, but fessing up to it in the final tribal council, explaining this is what he had to do, and winning the respect of the jury. Earl, after the switch, acting smug with Cassandra and Yau-Man and Michelle all in his back pocket, then losing his precious Michelle, but proving his worth by making the right choices near the end (overthrowing the three horsemen, getting rid of his biggest ally and biggest threat, getting to the end with two people who have screwed over their own games).
In the same sense, Marcus' story could be that of an arrogant prick (I believe Marcus is most likely an arrogant prick in his real life) who learns from his mistakes and/or owns up to his way of playing the game (Marcus in the final TC: "I had to use my natural charm to make sure these people stay close to me", or, in an alternate final TC: "Losing Charlie right before the merge was a rude awakening for me. I had to change my attitude and start from scratch").
I think that, more importantly than his rather bland confessional which was mostly there so he would have a role apart from tribal, the thing that strengthens Marcus' edit is the exchange between him and Ace, both at the Q&A with Jeff and right after Paloma got the boot. When Jeff asks Marcus about the different personalities in the tribe, he turns the question around and tells us how him and Ace can work well together and have a lot of similar ideas. When Paloma trails off into the distance, we see Marcus shedding a fake tear, looking at Ace's direction, and Ace returns him a glance. It is very possible that this exchanged never even happened in reality - Marcus could've done this to anyone, not necessarily to Ace, and even if this were the case, maybe Ace didn't even catch it - but the editors made sure we have this exchange in this crucial moment. Both of
those interactions correspond to the first episode, where Marcus told us Ace's claim to fame is laughable, but he is going to let him think he has the
power, for now. And here he's starting to hold true to his promise - complimenting him, and then patting him on the back on the well-executed Paloma
ouster. It's probably an emerging storyline t keep an eye on (most likely leading up to Ace's surprising-yet-satisfying blindside conducted by Marcus
himself).

I'd have to agree with ILT about Ace. As a matter of fact, I didn't see him as being even N at all.
They showed Paloma having a problem with Ace. We weren't shown exactly why. Everything Ace said was accurate and made sense. The only reason Corinne was listening to Paloma's ranting is because Corinne is playing a game as well. She sees Ace as a threat and was validating Paloma to avoid any other plan (keeping the vote between Ace and Paloma and NOT against any of the "onions".) They also made it pretty clear at TC that it was Paloma and Kelly's perception that Ace is condescending. But why? I'm sure Ace will be CPN, but I didn't see it this time. As a matter of fact, being aligned with someone who was obviously supposed to be OTP probably can't make someone OTN. |

In any case, if the three most obvious people in contention are Marcus, Corinne, and Charlie (I can't see it any other way), then we all have to admit currently that they are doing a FANTASTIC job at keeping
those 3 in the limelight. If they keep going at this rate, then two things will be clear:
(1) It comes down to these 3 only-making it obvious who that the winner will be one of them. (2) While the 3 top contenders are obvious, any of them can do it and VERY easily fit the Edgic 101 mold. But we all know how the editors screw up, so they could very quickly throw one of these into editing disarray at the drop of a dime. But here's hoping for Bob lol. |

If there's anyone questioning Paloma's OTTN, I suggest looking at the previously-on segment. Paloma's negative edit was forced upon us when in
reality I don't think there was much material for it. And concerning Ace, I honestly don't think he was that negative, maybe I'm biased because
he's one of my favorites right now, and I didn't take notes, but could anyone specifically tell me what was so negative about Ace other than Paloma
just saying that she wants to gag everytime he opens his mouth? Where as Marcus complimented him at TC, we had dumb Kelly atagonizing him and Paloma and her
usual brattiness.
My rambling winner thoughts: Marcus is lookin really good to me as well as Corrine. I think they've both been consistent. The end game will revolve around the onions and their decisions and these are the two that looks most promising. I still think Ace is in it for the long haul as well based on his 1st confessional and the attention he's getting. I don't remember if y'all gave him INV or not, but if not, he'd still be on my list for sure. As for other winners, idk. Charlie seems like a distraction to himself (hopefully someone knows what I mean by this)! I think if we went through his edit again, we could find multiple layers of his character to warrent putting him on the winner's list so don't count him out yet. I was really intrigued by Randy after episode 1/2, but after this last episode, I'd be wiling to add him to one of the reasons why Fang sucks and cross him off. I don't have much confidence in anyone else right now. If I had to have a winners list, it'd go like: 1. Marcus 2. Corrine 3. Ace Keep Edgicing y'all! Much <3 |

OTH & MCS, why the 3's for Corinne? She was more visible than both Ace & Paloma, who you both gave 4's too. Corinne was the 2nd most visible
person this episode, behind Sugar. The 3's make no sense to me. She is a clear high 4 or low 5, I actually gave her a 5 because she's actually in that
range on the Visibility chart... to give someone a 3 that earned a 5 is just completely wrong and inaccurate, sorry.
Not understanding the inclusions of Ace on anyone's winner lists. Yeah, he's my favorite, but he's not winning. He was INV in Episode 2, and his two edits so far have been short-term and negative, painting him into an early villain and nothing else... Winners like Parvati, Todd & Jenna have been negative, but not even on the level Ace has already been shown. Would a winner really be shown being backtalked about in the FIRST episode (by Paloma), and then by Corinne now ("his accent is fake") and then two questions at TC (by Kelly & Paloma) showing how much they dislike him? No, they wouldn't. That's not good negativity, it's bad negativity, especially for a winner. All that combined with the INV does not make him a winner, as much as I like him and enjoy watching him, it ain't happening. If you're going to put Ace on your lists, you best be throwing Sugar on too. My winners list still looks like this... 1. Corinne 2. Marcus 3. Crystal Eliminated: Everyone else. |

I don't follow his chart only because I started playing Edgic doing my own estimation and I can't change now. I didn't see Corrine as large as Paloma by own own feeling. I still post V ratings on the official site, and it's usually at variance with a couple players each episode, but it's just my own reaction to the show. Therefore, astro, pay it no mind as I know I'm not with the majority. I just share it so you can see the insanity inside the mind. Michael

EPISODE THREE KOTA Ace- OTTN4... he was simplified as a con artist, tyranical, and loves being in control (ie telling Paloma to go in the challenge, who to sit out, and Sugar to give him the idol pretty much), we were suppose to hope he left, but also want him around because we love to hate him Bob- MOR2... his story is simply being the tag-along vote to the onions, and he is observant to the Ace/Sugar coupling, Corinne says they don't want him around to the end (too likeable)Charlie- CP2... he got a confessional at the start regarding the concerns and operations of the alliance, and little bits of him throughout the episode, then a confessional and scene of him saying Corinne is smart at the game and discussing the pre-TC dynamics, thus he was complex Corinne- CP4... a big episode for
her, shown as the basic decider of who left tonight (before votes were read shots of Paloma, Ace, then her), let flow the decoy boot storyline which isn't
good, brought in Bob as expected, could be slightly N for her eyeroll at Sugar's emotional TC responce about her dad and her disliking most of her tribe,
but she was all business, she will be N later though, this is certain
Kelly- UTR1... nothing about her really, too ignored to get an N, Paloma took the brunt of it Marcus- MOR2... his TC we learned about his thoughts thus avoids UTR but I do see him as a 2 visibility as most of his sentences were probably missed by the regular audience, a good cool-off for a male, slight N for his confessional and fake tear, but really didn't pound hard enough, but showed that he's the ying to Ace's yang and will most likely play him, also exact same footage of him catching a fish as in the second hour of last week, I remember they repeated Parvati's scene of walking out of the jungle in 3 different episodes, and she also caught a fish, I think this bides well for his chances as they showed Charlie and Ace(?) fishing as well, but he is the one that got victory Paloma- MORN4... she was cute but she was shown as the weakling and whiny, we weren't suppose to hope she stayed (suppose to feel indifferent), had CP MOR and UTR moments, thus MOR is the correct rating, had she not talked about her strategy then she would have been OTT, but she was not simplified Sugar- CPP5... we got into her head, learned about her, saw her strategy, how she played off the idol, definitely CP, was not PP because of her connection to Ace and stupidity of letting him control what they do with the idol, this is definitely the appropriate rating for her FANG Crystal- MORP2... more airtime for the Olympian, was a warrior who fought hard for her team, she will not win though Dan- UTR1... not much, wants unity, did well in the pole challenge, not enough for a 2, same as Matty GC- MORN2... definitely not UTR, was simplified as lazy in challenges and a cancer that refuses to do what he's told, not a team player, selfish, was mainly ignored after that though, but was either OTT+UTR which is MOR, or OTT because he had no confessionals giving reasoning behind his attitudes, I'll say MOR because he was fairly ignored, he is definitely booted soon as his opening confessional in EP1 said he's grown and he's shown that he isn't Ken- UTR1... avoids INV because he won them the IC, was also shown saying some things at camp at the start Matty- UTR1... exact same as Dan, good work at challenge, confessional about the tribe's betterment, that's about it
Susie- INV1... nothing
