Sugar was great -and probably will be around for awhile. She's fun, but the reality is she's tied to Ace -who they want to make their villain, and
then she's a vulnerable character mourning the death of her father and proving she's not the dummy she appears. Reality didn't line up in them
being opposed so sometimes things don't work out like a movie.
I'd argue more though for an OTTP edit for her just in terms of layering. The CP seems more when they are projecting an endgame variable to come into play. Her confessionals were on the money and perfect for a winner -IF others were shown supporting the opinions she suspected. Well, maybe they did about how she's weak and Ace is dragging her to the end, but it was presented to be more about Ace's story and not hitting those cymbols with Sugar like they did with Courtney or Lil. If she had a stronger episode one arc, then perfect -but her episode one was really foreshadowing of her overcoming her fear and wading through the water.
Marcus was shown fine and didn't need the confessionals- it was the Paloma/Ace showdown. And he did speak at council, didn't he?
I think people are painting Corrine black or white -that she must turn into a bitch or not. I think you're taken her first episode confessional wrong. She said those words. What is more important is that she is projecting that she will remove her emotions if need be and do whatever it takes to win. She's an endgamer and probably facing the jury.
I retract the Sugar maybe being the third member of a final three ( if they have that) -even if she lost like Ozzy, they'd be selling her hard.
I don't think Randy will win, but will most likely cause a very big game changing event in the game -and most likely at the expense of Fang (yay, I finally remember a tribe's name)
