Flight 1: Arriving at 11:40 Jen & Danielle/Benji & Lacey
Groups must now make their way to the small nation of Lesotho, which is completely surrounded by South Africa. This country featuring extensive highlands and lowlands has one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. The groups must make their way back to Johannesburg Airport and from there will catch one of two charter flights, departing a minimum 15 minutes apart from each other. However, the flights will not leave until they are full (within a reasonable amount of time)

Murray: Let's change our money while we have the chance.
Convert 641 ZAR into 642 LSL Sly: Goddammit, Murray, did you eat our money again? Murray: No! ... Maybe ... So? Sly: Ugh, why did I partner up with you?

Detour: Rondavels or Round the Mountain
Rondavels: In rondavels, the teams must work together to dismantle a traditional rondavel. Once a common form of housing in Lesotho, these round structures are now making way for more modern housing. Teams must make their way to the marked site just outside of Maseru, and carefully follow their instructions. If the groups don't work together (post exactly the same thing, same case, same font, and the specified colour), the rondavel will collapse and groups will have to spend 20 minutes cleaning up. I would say "THE CLUEBOX IS HERE" but that would just be a lie
Round the Mountain: In round the mountain, groups must travel to Moteng Pass, one of the few snowy areas in Africa. Once there, they will take a helicopter to the summit and must work together to reach the bottom. They are given 2 options at each of the 4 steps of the descent but some are more hazardous than others. Once they reach the bottom, they must spend the number of updates corresponding to the amount of poor choices they made warming up again. Once they have completed this, they will receive their next clue. To do Rondavels, groups must post *Drive to area outside of city* (1U) To do Round the Mountain, groups must post *Drive to base of mountain and board helicopter* Jen & Danielle/Benji & Lacey Sly & Murray/Guru & Dimitri Charlie & Blue/Lyz & Spencer Intersection: This is the first of two intersections on the race. At this point, two teams must join forces and perform tasks together. If a team has been waiting at this point for more than 2 hours, they may continue tasks alone, although this may become difficult. Once teams have decided who they want to intersect with, they must state their intention do so while the other team is present. Transport must be able to fit both teams, and transport costs may be split however teams see fit. *We choose to intersect with (Team)* Nikki & Tracy Kurt & Janet - May continue at 12:55
