I doubt you'll see her doing too many charity gigs that don't a) pay her or b) she has some sort of connection with. it doesn't make her a bad person, but it doesn't make her a better than the average person either.

She worked at a car dealership in the finance department. They could have let her go because of slow sales during the gas crisis or loan cut backs.
