yukugajoob wrote:It depends on the "girl". If you love (not loved) her she would still be in your heart and mind... you just got to think of all the good things about her and get those random smiles and keep you happy. I mean think about it... do you think she would want to see you sad all the time? I know I wouldn't want someone I love to be sad all the time because of my death, I would want to see them happy and going on with their life without forgetting us. A place in our hearts is dedicated to the ones we love!!! <3 |

And how her death brought my father and me closer together. And how she taught me that love means never having to say you're sorry. I tried to love again several years later but it just didn't work. |

Once.
Amy is right -- if you truly love someone, you never quite get over them, and a little bit of your heart always belongs to them. In my mind, that's the difference between love and other things like lust/affection/comfort. I don't have any bitterness or anger towards her, though I did at first. Now, I have very sweet memories of her and think she's a wonderful person. |

If you had asked me 5 years ago, I would have said 2 or 3 times.
My first teenage love.. I'm long since over him.... One adult 'love'. Looking back, it was more 'deep caring' for another person. not love. I've been truly, deep in my heart, head-over-heels in love only once. My soulmate. And no, I'll never get over him. I compare all other men to him, and none of them come close. He will always have my heart. always. Pie said it best, "How do you forget the unforgettable?" You can't. I will love him until I take my last breath. |
