I felt the same way. I though his over confidence was a bit annoying too. Sure, he can win comps and manipulate people IN the house, but I don't think he has the same effect with those in the jury house. I also think if Keesha goes in there singing his praises, he's in trouble.
1. She wouldn't spit it out during a rant on Memphis and
2. Not letting Jerry and Memphis have time to strategize against it, cause now one of them won't know until finale. I think if Dan doesn't get torpedoed by Memphis in this HoH, he is a lock.
