Memphis is most likely thinking that Dan could win votes simply bcuz they will see his gameplay as more deserving and probably see Memphis as riding Dan's coattails Memphis is probably also thinking that the jury will see Memphis as having more game than Jerry, therefore he assumes he could win sitting next to Jerry, especially since he will send Dan to sequester to rally votes for him, since he knows Dan doesn't want Jerry to win. I could be over thinking this, but I don't see Memphis taking Dan to F2.

He might still win (especially if he goes to the end with Jerry) but if he doesn't, he can probably look at this week if he wants to pinpoint where he went wrong. I wasn't rooting for Keesha but I'm glad she figured out that she was going before today. She deserved the opportunity to flip out.

I guess I'd just have to vote for which of you played the best game if you were both at the end. But I'd definitely vote for Jerry in the end against either one of you because you betrayed me.

Dan has to know Memphis might want to keep Jerry over him (especially after Keesha goes) so anything he can say to convince Memphis that Jerry would have the votes to win would be good.

It's HOW he's doing it that doesnt make sense to me. He was content to blindside her rather than hint or give her some kind of warning and then when it came out he not only did nothing to try to smooth things over, he told Dan (from what I read in the recaps anyway) to throw him under the bus. It makes no sense. the DR told him he couldn't tell Keesha, they're setting it up as a blindside. Last night he said he was going to tell her, to smooth things over before she left and the DR told him he couldn't. He even told Dan that right when he came out. I don't care that this is an asshole move, you gotta do those to get to the end sometimes.

I don't know - until we hear the jury questions and responses I'd say any of the 3 of them have a shot at the top prize - all for Gameplay, Memphis would get it if they're judging on the fact that he didn't piss anyone off (how pissed will K be???), Dan would get it if they base it on strategy, Jerry for the pity vote - the old man who got that far and beat out those young whipper snapppers......

They might really have told Memphis he couldn't tell Keesha he was voting her out but he still could have handled it a lot better. He still has today to try to talk to her. I've been really impressed with Memphis' game thus far but he's made a mess of this situation with Keesha and I'm not entirely sure it had to be this way. I agree that you have to do asshole things in the BB house but there's no reason to burn bridges if there's any possible way of avoiding it. Especially this far along in the game when he knows Keesha probably wont vote for him now. The only conclusion I can come to is that he has no intention of bringing Dan to the end. Otherwise he wouldn't be helping Dan get votes by letting him buddy up with the next member of the jury. I'd say dropping Dan was a fine strategy but since he cant be sure he'll be able to keep Dan from winning the last HoH, he's really taking a risk here. I wonder if he realizes that or if he's just tired of the game and ready to be done with it one way or another.

Memphis has secured F2 deals with J/D and he's probably vain enough to think those are solid deals, especially since Jerry as already promised to throw part of the comp. I can't recall if Dan has said he'd throw any of the comps, but if he did, after talking to Keesha last night, i'm willing to bet he's rethinking that. I still don't understand why Memphis would keep Jerry over Keesha......endurance wise, D/M could kick her ass and she sucked at the metal shit, plus, they know she's hated, which means definite votes, whereas Jerry's votes are iffy - so this plan makes no sense. Sure Memphis can get kudos for sending Keesha to sequester, but by who? O/A? Those were probably his votes anyway if Keesha made F2 with him, but by sending Keesha to sequester, he risks losing more votes - Keesha may not have much influence with the jury but Renny sure as hell might. The only thing that does make sense is that Memphis did not trust D/K to not take each other to F2, which means he trusts Jerry more than he trusts D/K.

He's not -he'd know he would lose. He's just keeping Jerry for an easier beat in the final rounds of HOH. From Memphis' POV Jerry has his allies' votes locked up -April, Ollie and Michelle (even if none of that is true) and now the betrayal of Keesha -four anti-Memphis votes right there from HIS point of view.

Posts: 10547 (09/09/08 8:54 AM) More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	wow, i think people are making way too much of this. memphis knew there would be fallout for him evicting keesha. this guy's not dumb----there was no way she was just going to smile and be fine with it. but he has to do it because he really thinks she's more of a threat to his end game than pepaw. so since, as he told dan, 'she already hates me', he understands that dan probably gets that vote so it was ok with him if dan played the comforter last night. what's so weird about that? makes perfect sense to me. memphis wouldn't expect dan to say 'yeah, keesha, i was in on it too.' they also agreed that memphis would go in (after the shit hit the fan) and tell pepaw 'dude, i think dan's pissed at me.' this is part of his 'secret' deal with pepaw during the 3 part comp---if dan wins part one, pepaw THROWS part 2 to memphis. shit, pepaw even suggested that himself without memphis even bringing it up!! keesha's a vote memphis knows he'll probably lose anyway. (and i'm not of the school that thinks renny automatically votes keesha's way either, although against dan, i think renny would probably vote for dan anyway.) dan and memphis agreed on ALL this before they went their separate ways last night, they did exactly what they agreed they would do and TOLD each other what they'd done afterwards. i don't see that one thing has changed.

I'm ok with that as I'd prefer Dan to win. I'm just concerned that Memphis will come to realize he might not have an easy a win over Dan as he originally thought (assuming that's what he thought anyway).

I don't think so either, but I think Dan made more headway with Keesha than Memphis may have thought he would - not about her vote specifically (since it probably is a given), but some of the information he's sending into the jury house with her. It's probably all a wash anyway, but Dan was able to admit to his deal with Memphis, reiterate to Keesha over and over that he protected her with Ollie sas a sign he considers his genuine alliance in the game to be with Keesha, and sort of direct Keesha that if she's going to argue his case in the jury house she should focus in on Michelle. He also played the "Oh no, Memphis has a secret alliance with Jerry that I knew nothing about" card so that if Dan makes it to the final 2, it may seem more impressive to the jury that he was able to get there despite the supposed Jerry/Memphis secret alliance.
