a lot of people voted for Bush 'cause they thought he was just like them
Palin - I can identify with the outdoor and hunting type lifestyle - but I' worried about the religious aspect of her life. I really don't like the trend of religion starting to play so much into the political environment
Obama - He's educated and smart, which I can identify with - I've also lived in another country, so I like that aspect of her personality, since I think it often tends to make one more accepting of differences in others. On the other hand, in the industry in which I work and the people I meet in my real life, I don't meet many people like him so there's not that much of an identifying with thing as far as he goes.
But, I'd never pick a candidate based on who I'd identify with - I don't think I'd make a good president, so why would I vote for someone like me?
