I imagine that same face was on a few posters here too when they were making their talking points.

What I loved was the three Democratic women they had on Larry King last night as a response to her speech. Usually they are fired up and sassy, but all three
looked like they had been punched in the stomach. They made the talking points, but looked like all energy and life had been sucked out of them. My brother
said they looked like they had lemons up their butt.

Deal with it. She was great. Attack the messenger all you want, but the message will echo for months.

There's nothing wrong with Palin working as long as her husband is willing to take care of the baby. Her politics however are repulsive. She's a
zealotous nightmare, the cliched right-wing nutjob. I haven't yet heard a thing about her that doesn't make me cringe. There were half a dozen
candidates the Repubs could've gone with if they wanted to snare the chick vote. It's like they pulled Palin's name out of a hat or something. (And
I don't automatically loathe all Republicans the way some Dems do.)

Agreeance, but there's a silver lining if she wins: 4-8-? years of tabloid entertainment.

if it were not for the media I'd know nothing about what this woman "stands for"

This just in - Michelle Obama is not voting Republican either, citing their choice of Palin for VP as her reason.

She gives a good speech. We'll see how she performs when unscripted. Eventually she'll have to give a press conference, and her answers will look like
they've been cribbed from here. I wonder when the sassy one liners run out how quickly she'll play the media bashing card.
I'll give 3:1 that she fingersnaps during an snwer sometime before the election. |

Apparently she combines the spending habits of a Dem (except not on helpful public programs!) with the moral hypocrisy of a Republican. She's really bringing the country together. |

She could stand up to Putin not like Obama's: Can't we just all get along. See you Vladimir on Oprah.

I didn't know Hee Haw was back on the air!
Oh wait...that was the Republican convention. Greggy is right...somehere there is a community organizer telling Joe Biden "by any means necessary." Sarah "shoulda stopped at 4" Palin...weep for the future. |

UC illustrates exactly why this women was chosen. She is one of those bible and gun clinchers that Obama mentioned. They are going to use her as an example of
how the Democratic party actualy overlooks the people in the flyover and look down on them as hicks. They can portray Obama as an elitists-hence says one thing
in Scanton and another to those in frisco. They can trot her out to the heartland as one of their own.

The same people who jumped up and down that Clinton getting head made him unworthy of being president defending a woman whose life is spinning out of control She is a lot like Bill Clinton, except without the credentials. And the same people who disparaged him as white-trashy are now accusing the media of saying the same thing about her. |

I'm sure the Repubs thought they WERE securing those Bible-loving, heartland voters. Before all the revelations- so now even the hicks will look down on
Palin, because she can't control her own home (I don't really care about that but that is how many backwoods people really see it) and her daughter
looks like trash.
And she's really not that great of a public speaker. She has beauty pageant vagueness and a glossy smile. Is that Prep H under her eyes??? |
