I honestly think Sarah and John don't like each other much. Did you see that body language?
She's a Stepford Wife with PMS. |

My overall speech summary:
The speech started off well. She was very very charismatic and captivating. She was actually starting to win me over a bit. It went rapidly downhill from there with her snarkiness. It sounded like she was gossiping to a girlfriend about a neighbor instead of making a political argument against a worthy opponent. That level of shit slinging, delivered with all the charm of a drunk sorority girl, is best left to the underlings. I don't want her representing this country, no way, no how. |

She had some pithy one-liners, seems likeable enough (as long as you don't cross her) and was insulting and snarky as all get out...but what exactly inspired you? I'm not winding you up, I really want to know your viewpoint. |

Amazing? Really? The 'please don't evict me" speeches on Big Brother are better than that.
I did so want to like her. For real. |

OK did anyone just see that music bit with them singing the Star Spangled Banner, then stopping to say the pledge of allegiance UP TO the UNDER GOD part but
leaving out the "indivisible, with liberty and justice for all" part to sing the rest of the song?
IS THAT REALLY NECESSARY? We get it. You love God and hate freedom. And this whatever the substance of her speech, "a star is born" bullshit is nauseating. |

It is about the root. People love to vote someone with roots. That is the lamest statement that has been written all night. |

CallMeMadam wrote:Without the religious nutbar views on civil liberty issues, I'd have no problem declaring myself a Republican. What bothers me the most with the Republican party generally, and McCain and Palin in particular, was the ugly premonitions I got during Palin's speech. This woman and her "family values example-setting" are trying to coax people to accept their views voluntarily. However, they are more than willing to force their personal religious views & choices on everyone, by law. Why is it we have to sacrifice civil liberties in order to get someone who isn't going to knuckle under the irrational demands of the "greenies" and socialists? |
