Seriously, jibbers. Check out the late 70's. Bad economy, new president who talked the same thing Obama talks. We got taxes to death. 15% Unemployment. 18% interest rates. It garnered a new term: Stagflation.Have you seen what the hell is going on in your country now? |

Ford had a recession like now, then Carter came in and really fucked it up. and yeah right now in our country it's 6.1% unemployment and 6% interest rates. People can still buy a fucking house and get a job. Then it was almost impossible. |

His healthcare plan will be funded by our taxes. Will abortion be included in this healthcare plan funded by our taxes? These are the questions that should have been asked but again it was NBC. No hard question or challenges to Dems. By the way, your red herring argument of Cindy McCain was pretty lame. Maybe you should study up on issues before you come back into this thread. |

WASHINGTON - Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama acknowledged Sunday that he was probably too flip when he said it was "above my pay grade" to answer a question about when is a baby entitled to human rights. Obama gave his answer last month at a nationally televised religious forum sponsored by minister Rick Warren at his megachurch in Orange County, Calif. Asked on Sunday whether the "above my pay grade" answer was too flip, Obama said: "Probably. ...What I intended to say is that, as a Christian, I have a lot of humility about understanding when does the soul enter into ... It's a pretty tough question. |

No wonder Gallup has McCain up by 4 points. Not that it means anything until November, but people are starting to see through the illusion. Unless Palin
decapitates an Eskimo, this race is gonna be tight right up until the end.

Also can someone explain why people hate taxes so much?Don't hate taxes, I hate politicians wasting tax money on special interests and not using them for what they are intended for. |

"Also can someone explain why people hate taxes so much? "
That's easy. Let's say you work really hard and give up a lot of fun in order to put your family in a better place. Then someone comes by and state "You did well ... i will just take a third of that". Compare that to a loser who does not work hard and oly earns a few bucks. Then somone comes by and states "I will only take 10% of your small earnings." Now - why should some people not have the same resposibility as the rest? Because they are lazy and/or not willing to do better for themselves? I am not talking about people who have medical issues - i mean people who would rather not contribute to society to their fullest.

BTW: I have no problem with Obama. The republcans seem tto well speding like drunks in a whore house with fists full of hundreds. Thie Iraq war and th
elongated Afghan wars are hurting our country both in current cash and the future of our young men and women. We will be paying for this blunder a long long
time.
Pull the plug and get out of Dodge. |
