It's a pretty tough question. I don't presume to be able to answer these kinds of theological question. What I do know is that abortion is a moral issue. It's one that families struggle with all the tine, And in wrestling with those moral issues I don't think that the government criminalizing the choices that families do make is the best answer for reducing abortions. |

But will Obama's tax plan eliminate the $500k ($250K if single) exemption when selling a house. If so, you may be in fro a big unpleasant surprise? Or how
about Lump Sum payments on your retirement or if you inherit an IRA (but not a surviving spouse)

The paraphrasing was what Biden said which was essentially the same thing. That his beliefs did not matter because they were religious and he should not presume that his religion is more important than others that do not feel the same way. |

Also can someone explain why people hate taxes so much? I just figure them into the cost of things when buying stuff and I just plan my budget accordingly with
my paychecks. Are people seriously that greedy? Just invest your money and it'll eventually grow and make up some of the difference while your taxes pay
for education/roads etc. I am in favor of education and roads because uhhh....I need them to drive on and I like a semi-educated populace.
So....Republicans like potholes and stupidity? I guess everything I ever thought about them is right and proven by this thread. |

I have to say that I am very pleased that 3 of the 4 major candidates have children in the military, and they are going to or have been to a war zone.

Yes, because being dumb enough to condone war makes someone a worthy presidential candidate.
I can only think of one war off the top of my head that made sense, and that was WWII to stop the Holocaust and constant annexation by Hitler. WWI was retarded because of Europe and its inbreeding alliances. Vietnam was dumb. Korea....eh, I can't get behind the whole "zomg communism is bad" wars. Although wars fought with swords I can get behind. Nothing says "I WILL SMITE YOU" like a clean decapitation of the enemy's leader. |

Check out the late 70's. Bad economy, new president who talked the same thing Obama talks. We got taxed to death with the intention of jobs creation and entitlements. 15% Unemployment. 18% interest rates. It garnered a new term: Stagflation. I don't want to go back there. |
