Again, are we voting for John McCain as King of the Army, or for president of the United States? And FYI, I'm assuming with your opinion that serving in Vietnam somehow bestows upon an individual presidential experience that you most likely voted for John Kerry and Al Gore in the last two election.

I do not have some set of criteria that I refer to when deciding how to cast my votes, as every election has different candidates. In this election, I have two chioces. One is a 47 year old man who I had never heard of before he delivered a catchy speech at the DNC and Oprah had him on her show. I like Obama, and I like Biden, but I do not like Obama as a presidential candidate and I do not think he is remotely ready to run our country. In fact, I'm starting to think he's missed his calling entirely.

My other choice is a man who has spent his entire life as a public servant, first in the military, then in politics. He has 25 more years of experience than Obama, and unlike so many people who seem to think that a person's value decreases as they grow older, I recognize that with age comes knowledge and wisdom. McCain has a much larger pool of experience to draw from. Obama's pool of experience is more like a narrow creek. Not all of us have the same amount of knowledge, no matter how many internet sites you look at or shows you watch or magazines you read. Looking at McCain's career, I beleive it's fair to say he has more knowledge about international affairs and military activity than somebody who has worked exclusively with the "slums of south-side Chicago." This is not rocket science.

But you can put aside all the POW talk and personality talk and still be able to make a clear and easy choice between the two. Obama thinks it's the government's job to make our lives better. McCain thinks that it's the people's job to make our country better. No wonder so many people prefer Obama.

And rS, this liberal act doesn't suit you at all. You seem smarter than this. Obama has nothing to offer you.

Y'know, at least Phoofe can listen to rational thought and is willing to concede a point or two, or at least admit that they're interesting and that she'd never considered that position before even if, ulitmately, she doesn't agree with it. You've got to give her mad props for that.

Guess I'll have to wait for you to share a rational thought or make a point that is interesting before I get your mad props. I'll try to pick up the pieces and move on.
