Oh, yes, let's have people who post in it two or three times every couple of months or so start the thread.
Wait, are you saying that you DESERVE to start a thread more than someone else? lol

Clearly your anti-book burning stance is a poor attempt to hide your elitist disdain for barbecue.

Je Fa doesn't carry the memorable political weight of Mister Yuck.

Back in the days of CN and ghostie SI posting their monster politicial threads, it was deemed the cuttoff was 10K. Since then, we've had 1 8.5K and 1 10K
political thread still open somewhere. There is no official "end". Posters just simply migrate to the new thread.
BTW, nubber has been "vetted". My name is Karl Rove and I approve this message... |

The stereotype would be a libertarian form of conservatism, but I read some article which referred to Wasilla as Alaska's "bible belt".

Alaskans used to be strongly libertarian and I'd imagine many of them still are. Now there are a lot of fundy Christians like Palin though that make
unhealthy connections between religion and govt.
For example, she referred to the war in Iraq as "a task that is from God." Three months before she was thrust into the national political spotlight, Gov. Sarah Palin was asked to handle a much smaller task: addressing the graduating class of commission students at her one-time church, Wasilla Assembly of God. |

You know as much as this put to rest the experience issue, does this kill the "celebrity" smear against Obama as well? |

We should ask John McCain, but he's too busy booking another appearance on Jay Leno.

Aides have discovered such bookings are the only way to surgically remove McCain from the ever present cell phone.
