Wow so much hate for the British segment. I thought it was great!

The reason they have chosen Leona is because she is from Hackney, East London where the 2012 games are going to be held plus she is an amazing singer and one of the only new artists that is known around the world. Amy Winehouse?? Bitch please, did you not see her slurred performance at the V festical last week??? lol

Beckham is there because again he is one of Britains biggest exports, known all around the world and is extremely popular in China. Oh yeah, and he was on the Committee bidding to bring the games to London so it makes sense that he is included.

I think London 2012 is going to be awesome. A lot different to China. As many people Olympic commentators have mentioned whilst the Beijing games was very well run and spectacular there was not much atmosphere. Half of the stadiums were empty during a lot of the events and it was all a bit sterile.

London will be completely different. I enjoyed the opening and closing ceremonies in Beijing but I cannot wait to see Londons modern presentation. Chinese acrobats flipping around the oriental music is all well and good but I would rather watch a more modern style ceremony.

I expect Londons presentation to represent the multi-cultural aspect of the city - London buses, the tube, umbrellas, people standing in lines, royalty, british traditons, banksey, bollywood dancing, urban dancing, big stars banging out some hits, big ben chiming, football, british pubs, fireworks....its going to be awesome!!!

All you haters can shut up. Just because NY lost out to not only London but also Paris, no need to be bitter.

ha!!! Its a British tradition. People here joke that if there were a gold medal for standing in a queue (line) then no one would beat us!!! We love orderly lines of people. hee hee!!

Yeah everyone hates the logo. When they first published it in the paper, there was collective outrage. lol. However, when it was shown yesterday with the union jack colours instead of the red I actually thought it looked good.

Its supposed to represent grafitti. A kind of homage to our beloved and mysterious Banksey.

Its different. People talk about it and have a strong reaction to it - good or bad.

I doubt it. Face it. A non US resident is the greatest athlete in the world. lol
