It was interesting. I watched the premiere episode last night to see if the editing made sense in the beginning after all of the onions were voted out. It was like watching the show again for the first time. In the first episode, you get to know the following about Crystal and Kenny:

Episode 1:

Crystal (one of three out of the final six to get an opening confessional):

In the opening confessional she talks about being an Olympic Gold Medalist in 2004 and how she is going to use her blazing speed to win the hell out of this game.

We then go to the tribal pick'em.

Before they pick players they all have to say a little about themselves.

She says that she is a "kindergarten teacher" and a mother.

Then we get another confessional of her saying that her strategy is to not tell anyone about being an Olympic Gold Medalist.

Then Crystal is the first one picked by Gillian.

Crystal then picks Susie and gives reasoning when she says that the mom's have to stick together (this was not a confessional, but a scene that is shown).

We then have a confessional where Charlie says that it is stupid SURVIVOR for Crystal picking Susie (which turns out to be ironic because it is Susie that costs Charlie and the rest of the onions the game, so the move ended up not being stupid).

We then have the first challenge where Crystal and a few other women are struggling up the hill.

After the challenge is over and Fang loses, we hear Crystal give reasoning for the loss.

She gets a third confessional telling us that she did not do well in that challenge because she had a dress on and her tennis shoes weighed 10 pounds.

This by the way, was all before the first commercial break.

We then hear some non confessional comments back at camp about strategy and her interacting with the other players.

At tribal council, we also hear from Crystal again when Jeff asks her a question.

It is mostly a GC, Randy, Marcus and Charlie-centric episode.

Ken (one of three out of the final six to not get an opening confessional):

After the opening confessionals are over, we hear a confessional from Ken.

Ken tells us that he is a professional gamer, but he is shy (we also hear this before the commercial break).

They focus a lot on his relationship with Michelle.

We learn in another confessional that Ken has not kissed a girl since high school (4 years).

They also make it a point to show that Ken is kind of a nerd, when he trips over a termite hill.

We get strategy from Ken before the vote when he tells Michelle that he heard that it might be her.

I believe that Ken got another confessional as well, but I cannot remember what it was about.

At tribal council, Ken does not get a question, however, we are shown that he is the snake of this season. When he gets up to vote, we get an image of a snake.

Then when Ken grabs the pen to vote, we are shown that he drops the pen cap on the floor. We are then shown a few members of the tribe laughing (probably not at him, but inserted to look like it was at him).

Michelle goes home.

Episode 2:

In episode 2, Crystal had no confessionals, but a TC confessional that I think was about tribal leadership. She, however, had a lot of reaction shots throughout the episode.

Ken had one confessional, but not a TC confessional about how Fang were losers and that Gillian needed to go. He, like Crystal had a lot of reaction shots throughout the episode.

Overall, they both had the same kind of edit in episode 2.

Gillian went home.
