The entire show has become about the hidden immunity idol. Bottom line: It's PLAYED OUT. Well at least Survivor still has a show. If you don't like it, just don't watch it. Stop complaining.

The paranoia that the Idol brings with it gives the whole season a new aproach. Because it's not just about having a big alliance, it's about strategizing against the Idol. You can't ever know who has it and when it's gonna be played. You may have the alliance in control, but yet be voted out. Yes, it's about the Idol, but I think it's fair. It had given the show a very dinamic plays. Who won't remember Jaime using the fake idol? Or James leaving with two of them? Or Jason thinking that a stick was an idol? Or Amanda's play voting off Alexis? It would never happen in a non-idol season.

When he doesn't say anything about the cast itself, any particular personalities, diversity of people, etc, then you have to wonder.

Stop complaining. This is true. Does it feel like there's even another season coming? Survivor's own survival is amazing enough.

Yeah, but now you know that whoever has the idol is going to be targeted, and the editing pretty much spells out whether they'll use it or not. The only time when you really couldn't tell was if Brandon found it in the Guatemala merge episode--in other words, the very first episode the HII came into play. The hidden idol has given us some awesome moments--and that's exactly why it needs to take a few seasons off. Micronesia was an embarrassment of riches when it came to blindsides, and it may ultimately have spoiled everyone, because you're gonna end up with one of two things--either you have an average post-merge which fans will find comparatively boring, or you're gonna have crazy blindsides and everything switching up every week, to the point where nothing would shock viewers anymore--power shifts, blindsides, etc. would all just be expected par for the course with Survivor. And yeah, once you get to the late pre-merge part of the game, the hidden idol takes up way too much airtime. Which is fine in an episode where you really can't ignore it, like the Edgardo boot, but every week?

He just talked about animals and how the immunity idol is confusing. So yeah, that doesn't make me too optimistic.

But not all of them. 13th- Gillian 12th- Crystal 11th- Charlie [1st Juror] 10th- Ken [2nd Juror] 9th- Michelle [3rd Juror] 8th- Marcus [4th Juror] [Blunder with an idol] 7th- Bob [5th Juror] 6th- G.C [6th Juror] 5th- Randy [7th Juror] 4th- Paloma [8th Juror] Final 3 Ace Kelly Jessica Ace and Jessica are a showmance, but way after the merge. Ace wins immunity to guarantee him in final 3. He keeps Jessica, who plays the HII at final 6, and decides to go with who is he has a bigger attraction for: Kelly or Paloma, and Paloma gets voted out 2-1-1. Randy is 1st boot.
