Around $2500 for three cars. One 17 year old driver. Thank goodness she's a girl, otherwise, the rates would double.

It depends on your location. Our rate doubled when we moved to MI from what it was in Co. We pay around 900 every six months for full coverage on our two cars.

Alrightie, can i travel to some other state, get insured there, then go back to CA?
Also, can i go and buy the car in Oregon, so i don't get to pay sales tax? I don't want the govt to make any profit off of this purchase |

You would have to claim that on your taxes. And pay it at tax time.

I pay $315.00 per month for three cars and 4 drivers, two of whom are teenageish boys.

I think I pay $1100 a year on one car. It used to be as high as $1400 when I first started paying for my own insurance, but apparently staying with the same
insurer and not getting any tickets/accidents dramatically cuts your payment amount. Add to that I turn 25 later this year and I'm hoping for a nice
reduction in what I pay.

Yeah, we just got some random decrease in the amount we pay...I have no idea why. Last year we paid $369.00 per month, this year it's $315.00 per month.
Maybe cause the cars are older? Or my kids are a little older? One is 22 and one is 20. I can't figure it all out.

Youthful ratings decrease at 21, that's probably why.
If you are an inexperienced operator or have tickets, that's why. |

I make myself feel better by writing stuff like "you fucking ripping me off greedy fucks" on the bottom left corner of my monthly tithe to the State
