As much as I dislike larger casts, those seasons would have benifited from an extra episode. Why not have an extra episode and start 1 week early?

A: Because no one outside of Survivor Sucks (which can't possibly represent more than .01% of viewers) has the attention span for an additional episode.
Larger casts with the same 39 days also allows them to deal more easily with retard contestants like Kathy. |

He's talking about a schedule where you don't get to F5\F4 until day 39.
However, that would drag out the premerge period of the game ever more. I hate waiting 9+ epsiodes for the merge more than I dislike double boot episodes. Also double boots guarentee a certain parity, forcing both tribes to lose a member. Also if they wanted more episodes they could just decrease the number of days between TCs. No need to pay the cameramen and crew to hang around 3 more days. |
