I thought Brooke was boring. She mastered the steps on the dance floor, but had no feel and no connection to the music. She got so little criticism, aside
from that one dance she messed up, how could she be expected to improve? She started off good and ended good, but that's hardly a sign of growth.
In other words... she was boring and she didn't grow much in the process... which clearly makes her the perfect winner for DWTS. |

Another Playboy model wins. Fascinating.

Kym has to wonder if she'll ever win. She gets paired with the likable guy from a boy band . . . comes in second. She gets paired with the likable
football player . . . and comes in second.

trinity17888 wrote:I agree. She had great technique but I found her to be as dull as dish water. I much preferred to watch Warren, who had exuberance and actually showed some joy and a sense of fun out there. I don't care if the premise of the show is to find the best dancer. I voted for the most entertaining dancer. (Well, Clo was the most entertaining, but after her is Warren!) |

Even if Lacey had won it, I'd be happy but at the end of the day, it is just a trophy. DWTS is definitley one show where the build up is better then the pay off. I enjoyed the Monday show. Much credit to Brooke and Derek's freestyle, was extremley good, but I would actually stretch it and say that Lancey's was a tad better. Anyone can do crazy amounts of lifts but Lacey stuck to choreography and put in what seemed like a lot of difficult material. It dragged briefly in a spot or two, but overall I really enjoyed it. I remember Kym's outfit change but don't remember their routine. I loved the hell out of this finale. The roast was all kinds of network acceptable classic and just was an overall well done show. I honestly didn't see what the fuss was about with Brooke and Derek's last dance - I thought both Lance and Warren out performed her, but I guess I'm just a sucker for being entertained. Ultimatley, the near 10 point gap just seemed too wide to overcome. Brooke and Derek without question deserve this but I am hard pressed to believe that Brooke was signifigantly more popular then either man left standing. Great season, enjoyable finale, bring back Lacey Schwimmer. And yea, I'm a Drew and Cheryl fan, but their freestyle although good, is vastly overrated. |

I know that this will never happen (well, unless there is some major revolt in the pop culture universe), but as much as I enjoy seeing B, C, D, or even F-list
celebrities tackle DWTS, I would love to see A-list celebrities compete on DWTS. Can Justin Timberlake master the tango? Can Beyonce/Sasha Fierce Knowles
restrain her ass-jiggling enough to do the Vietnamese waltz? Is Tiger Woods or, hell, Roger Federer capable of doing the paso doble? Can Tom Cruise stop his
glibness and his Scientology bullshit to dance the jive? Will Jennifer Aniston be able to dance the bossa nova? Is Miley Cyrus too proud of a celebrity to show
us if she can do the quickstep? Maybe they can, or maybe not. I feel that, collectively, the B/C/D/F-level celebrities that appear on DWTS are in fact more
talented and personable than most A-list celebrities.

Well, that was boring. So predictable as they licked Brooke's heels throughout and played up Warren's amazing personality although his dancing was a
4/5th place finish at best. Lacey/Lance were robbed. He should have won and I thought he had just as much charisma on stage as Warren did, but they fail to
mention that??
Brooke was no Yama hoochi, that's for sure! I found the Season rather bland..thank God for Cloris and her antics! |

Lance would have won if he had a male dancing partner.

I thought the finishing order was perfect. Lance & Lacey did really well to finish in third place, especially with this being her first season as a
professional. Warren & Kym landing second place was as much on charisma and charm as anything.
As for Brooke & Derek, I was rooting for them pretty much all season long. Maybe it helps having been a Rock Star fan and always liking Brooke. It was really fun to see her show a completely different side of herself (i.e., she's not just a rock chick in leather get-ups). Many models on this show have been booted right at the beginning, some have made it to the half-way point. Being a model does NOT mean an automatic pass to the finals. All three couples eaned their places, kudos to all. It was a really good finale, and overall a really good season. eta: For the record, I think that Lance & Lacey had more dances I personally enjoyed but ... I also liked Warren's charm - so the placement order doesn't really mean one is better than the other, just that one earned more fans. A lot of it comes down to whether voters like hip-hop. It was a bit of a risk to go with that hip hop dance routine for their freestyle, honestly, I was a bit disappointed considering some of the really terrific routines they came up with during the course of the season - I was hoping for a more sparkly routine from L&L..

The SovereignOne wrote: I think the whole point of a freestyle is to do lifts. You can't do them in any other dance without being scolded by Cunty Ann. In a freestyle, what wins it is having a memorable and entertaining freestyle. Kelly, Drew, Emmit, Helio, Kristi, and Brooke all did that. Nobody wants to see someone do a couple easy brainless dance steps. That can be seen anyday. I love the lifts. |

Umm... in the 2006 season of So You Think You Can Dance, Benji Schwimmer (Lacey's brother) and Donyelle What's-her-name coined the phrase
"Vietnamese waltz" when they actually meant "Viennese waltz".
