Just stopping by with some Dimitri love.
Very happy Lance and Brooke are in the finals. I was worried Brooke didn't have enough of a fan base to compensate for that bad performance. I'm getting irked at Carrie Ann over-scoring and over-praising the men. |

wow
But Aretha's still a goddess. <3 I think Brooke and Lancey are both deserving, but I'm leaning towards Brooke just because she has been more consistently good. I'm sorry but I don't get why Warren is still in this. |

I don't get the Warren love either. Stomp, stomp, pose, clomp, stomp, wait for Kym to do something amazing, big smile... is not dancing.
F2 of Lance/Lacey and Brooke/Derek is the only thing that would be remotely satisfying. |

I am happily surprised Julianne decided to "go Country". Why on earth would that surprise you? I'm sorry but I don't get why Warren is still in this. 1. He's an athlete. 2. He's been consistently overscored. 3. People are retarded. |

In regards to Julianne's performance and for that matter her album (which I sampeled a few weeks back), does anyone else think that it all sounds just a
little "old" considering her age? She has a lovely voice but I just feel she is singing songs that are more suited for someone in their 40 or 50s.
She is free to sing whatever she wants but just seems like a Carrie Underwood-ish flavor on a few of her songs wouldn't hurt. On top of that, they would
more then likely be very good. Just a thought.

Julianne Hough: Judges "had it in for Cody... didn't want him" in finaleDancing with the Stars professional Julianne Hough said she had a feeling last night's seventh-season results show might be the final one for her and celebrity partner Cody Linley -- however she wasn't sure why."I don't know what the judges were watching or thinking [during Monday night's performance show]. I don't know what they had a problem with. I think they simply had it in for Cody and didn't want him to make the finals," Hough wrote on her personal blog prior to last night's live results show. "I thought he did a great job. I went and watched the dances again and he was awesome. I thought he should have had much better scores and better comments." Dancing with the Stars judges Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Len Goodman had given Linley and Hough's first Monday night performance -- a military-themed Paso Doble -- a score of 22. While the judges were more complimentary of Linley and Hough's salsa dance -- which they gave a score of 24 -- they were still critical of the fine details of Linley's dancing abilities. "I just don't think the judges got it [Monday] night," continued Hough on her blog. "You can tell, I can't figure out what they were looking at. I feel like they haven't been nice to us this whole season. Cody has been trying so hard. But he doesn't seem to be able to anything right for the judges. I feel bad for him." The two-time Dancing with the Stars professional champion added she was "nervous" going into last night's results show because she thought "it might be our last night." She was right, as the couple was eliminated from the competition based on a combination of the judges' scores each couple had received for their two Monday night dances and home viewer votes cast immediately following the broadcast. Monday's broadcast had represented the first time Hough and Linley had performed together for the judges and home viewers since she was sidelined after having surgery two weeks ago to remove her appendix and several cysts from her pelvic region. "It was hard to learn two dances this week, on top of the fact it was the first week we were back together," said Hough in her blog. "He has been really emotional... Cody's also really tired. It's been 13 weeks since we started this whole thing. He's exhausted." Hough described Dancing with the Stars as "probably the biggest thing" Linley has ever done and sounded optimistic about his future now that the couple is off the show. "I think the opportunities are just going to flow to him," she said. "I think this is going to be a big thing in his life and his career. He's done an awesome job. I don't think he could've done anything more." |

I'm getting irked at Carrie Ann over-scoring and over-praising the men. It's irked me since season 3. I wouldn't mind dumping all three judges and getting 3 fresh faces. Maybe even get some of the professionals that used to do this show to be the judges - like nick, ashley, or I would love to see anna be a judge. |

Martrae wrote:Wow, she's really clueless. Julianne, honey, go watch Apolo and then watch Cody, yeah? I think you'll get it. Warren's still there because he's having fun and it's infectious, the live crowd loves him, he must be getting a shitload of votes. I liked him at first, but I don't think he should win. My Lacey hate has pretty much died after this week, Lance and Lacey were miles above everyone else. They got the right dances at the right time. But I can see either Lance or Brooke winning, they both have done a great job really. Lance has just had a tougher time of it. At least we don't have the crap going on like they have on Strictly Come Dancing right now, wow, what a mess that is. |

Len makes a bad call every now and then in regards to being innovative, but he's the only one with real ballroom experience and his comments about technique are usually spot on. Plus, he's an integral part of Dance Center ;) |

'Dancing with the Stars' Cutie Calls It Quits?By Andrea Engstrom | Thursday, November 20, 2008, 3:53 PM
It's a very sad day for us "Dancing with the Stars" fans. While on Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show (KIIS FM's "On Air with Ryan Seacrest") professional dancer Julianne Hough said that she will not be returning in the spring to compete for her third Mirror Ball Trophy. "I'm not going to be back next season," Julianne announced. "That's final." Emmy-nominated Julianne Hough (view photos) became an instant fan favorite on the show, taking the grand prize with Olympic gold medalist Apolo Anton Ohno her first time out (Season 4), then snatching the prize again with Helio Castroneves during her second go (Season 5). She's beautiful, goofy, good-hearted and enormously talented. You can't help but love her. Even cynical radio personality Adam Carolla fell in love with Julianne after he was paired with her in Season 6. When the two were eliminated during Week 4, Carolla seemed genuinely disappointed and told the crowd, "I had the time of my life. I lost 20 pounds of fat and gained 105 pounds of angel. I love this girl." Last Tuesday night, Julianne and her partner Cody Linely were eliminated during the semi-finals of Season 7. Julianne and her brother Derek Hough, also a professional on "Dancing with the Stars" (and a likely candidate to take the Trophy this season), come from a family of dancers and began competing at a very early age. Both Houghs have music aspirations, which is the reason Julianne has decided to leave the show. This morning she told Ryan, "It's because I really, really want to focus on the music and... be taken seriously a little bit, and I think it's hard to be on 'Dancing with the Stars' and be singing and kind of get that confusion, and so I'm really going to focus on the music." Julianne's self-titled album debuted at #1 on the Top Country Albums chart, and I'm sure she's going to give fellow reality star Carrie Underwood a run for her money. Although she's definitely out this spring (Season 8 begins March 2009), there is still a chance that she might return next fall. "I won't be on 'Dancing' this spring season," she wrote on her Fancast blog last night. "I don't know about the fall. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see." The show will go on. But it won't be the same without her. |

I saw Len on "Entertainment Tonight." He said that he thinks Brooke will win. Does that mean that he's already planning to do what he can to give
Brooke higher scores than the other two?

Thank you for posting that cute pic of Julianne, you rock!
Where did someone say that Brooke was one of the top 5 female dancers ever? Was that in this thread? |
