She's known because of getting dumped on TV Gilles is known because of getting naked on the big screen Ty is known because he's married to Jewel Chuck is known because he's dating Julianne NONE of these people are "Stars" right now. They may become stars in the future, fine... maybe we'll see Gilles in more movies or whatever, but whatever he has been in (as listed above), NOBODY could name any of them without IMDB... They only know him because of SATC... PERIOD. He probably will get more jobs after this, but as for right now, SORRY, not a star. Lil' Kim, Shawn, Denise, Lawrence (if you know football), Steve-O... I think that most people know who these people are. THEY are the most likely to be "Stars" this season. If Jewel was actually dancing, she'd be a star too. STARS in this show's standards... I hate when people use that excuse because they don't want someone to win. GEEZ. And, as for previous dance experience, good luck trying to find a group of people who all haven't danced a step in their lives... even if you've danced at a club, EVEN the hokey pokey... NOT FAIR!!! |

Dayammm! I loved Ty. I wish that stumpy child, Shawn had been dumped. I cannot see her winning. She looks awkward when she dances (chunky factor and height)
she doesn't look graceful at all. I love her partner though!

I just like to vent sometimes… I apologize if you completely disagree, but I just wanted to vent.
Tomash, while I agree that any dancing in general isn't the same as Cheerleading, every season I find that someone complains about ANY kind of advantage someone may have. Kristy was a figure skater, Stacey did Ballet, Drew was in 98 degrees, Mel B was in the Spice Girls, Joey M was in NKOTB, Marissa was in Hairspray and Shawn is a Gymnast. They all have some sort of dance experience and I think these is comparable to being a DC Cheerleader... and some have even more of an advantage. They have tours, shows, or competitions, likewise Cheerleaders have seasons. They all dance to songs, or do routines to songs, or perform songs with dances… Ballet dancers, figure skaters and gymnast all have to finish their "lines", or point their toes. The performers have the advantage of selling their performance, being the character of the dance. A cheerleader has one character… ENTHOUSIASTICALLY HAPPY.
I do agree that some people may have an advantage, but that's not just people with dance experience. |

Martrae, I say "if you know football" because I think that a lot of households in the US watch Football every Sunday from September to January. While I live in Canada, I can't say that I've heard of anyone watching the rodeo every Sunday. I never watched Football before I was with my husband, except the Superbowl. I knew who Emmitt Smith was without knowing football, but the other guys on the show… I only knew because I watch it. I had no clue who that basketball player was who was partnered with Karina, but I'm sure basketball fans did. I just think that Ty was selected because Jewel was doing the show, or to get her to do the show. We will never know, but that's just my thought. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed him and I'm happy he was on. |

I just don't want Cheryl to win again… she has only been given 1 partner that hasn't been great, and I don't think that's because of her teaching ability. If we are talking about fair, that's what I find to be the least fair part of the show. I feel the same way about Derek, Mark and Julianne. Give Maks, Kym, Karina, and Jonathan better "Stars". I really don't mind Gilles, it's just Cheryl that bugs me.
I'm so happy that Tony FINALLY has another shot at winning. He hasn't had that since Stacey. |
