I suspect something similar will happen re: Melissa Rycroft. "Hey America! We looooved her on The Bachelor, but that creep Jason broke her heart. Let's make our Sweetheart a star!!!" Melissa is not all that; frankly I hope she goes soon (although I know many disagree). But I'm sure she will go a long way in this competition, regardless of her dancing performance. I am so over Melissa, by the way. Soooo over. Can't even explain. I'm getting a "She loses on The Bachelor but wins on DWTS!" vibe. Be right back; rolling my eyes. Too bad the days of shocking eliminations are over. Would love to see her given the boot. teevee, my sentiments exactly. Two 9s? Puhleeze. Three 8s would have been generous. Gilles was wonderful - he and Cheryl deserved three 9s. Denise = improved. Holly = not bad. Maybe Steve-O should consider a career change.

I have to disagree. Maks backlash is irrelevant. Melissa is an annoying famewhore, going on her 3rd reality show now - actually 4th because she was on two seasons of Making the Team - who was dumped or pretended to be dumped by her loser showmance on TV for ratings. She put on a good show in the loser limo and is now getting paid a lot of money for her trouble. And I am sick of her because she's been on my screen for months now and now she's staring back at me from all the cheap tabloids at the checkout counter too. Simple, really. So what if she can dance? Plenty of stupid, fame seeking, opportunistic people can bake a mean cake or win a race or act in a movie or, lo and behold, even dance. Just because they're on TV and can do something, that doesn't mean that people need to fall at their feet and bow in admiration. Whatever the hell for?? There are many, many more. |

Yeah, Holly is finished. Why couldn't they do the dance off? This is one dance where he score would have legitimately improved, since her dance probably would have been much better without the blunders, since she had some very good moments in there. |

So Steve-O is probably safe (also, his confessional about "whatever happens, happens", probably means he's safe). I like Steve-O, but dammit, now Holly probably would have stayed with the dance off.
