Potsdamer Platz is really nice at night when the office buildings are lit up. Checkpoint Charlie (or where it used to be, not sure anymore) is worth a look. (At Friedrichstraße and Zimmerstraße.) And if you go to the zoo you can see Knut the polar bear! You can also check out the East Side Gallery, not exactly smack-dab in the centre of things IIRC but definitely good to at least say you've been.

Germans... they're very uptight people. They're a little weird to describe. For instance, a German will make sure that barriers to make a line at the airport line up with the tiles on the floor.

But yes, German beer is pretty damn good.
