About 15 yrs ago the insurance companies didn't have the technology that we have nowadays to run accident reports and MVRs.
The point I'm making to him is that HIS own company may want proof that he did the repair before they extend coverage to that part of the vehicle again. (assuming he has "full" coverage" |

It was just an accident.
Accident's happen. They didn't mean to do it....they're sorry. No need in crying over spilled milk. |

Yeah you boring bitch! Quit answering the question asked with factual information! I don't ask questions to get answers! I ask questions to get
"witty" bitch fests from TC.
Now please stop being useful so TC may impart us with more of her Billy Madison like antics. Insurance, more like In-SNORE-ance. |

Actually it all depends on a couple of different things.

Yes. Check the local laws in your area.

Several years ago, when I was driving a POS Kia Spectra, some trucker side swipes me and does $1,800 worht of damage. Rather than fix up the car so I could get
$1,000 dollars for it rather than the $700 I did when I eventually traded it in for my first grown up car. Damned if I didnt pocket the cash.

I'll make sure to interject some really nice insurance information into the next coffee and hotdog thread, TV.

No lien holder. I only pay cash for my vehicles.
I checked the local laws... ahem... in my area... and they have to pay the owner of the vehicle if they are asked. Turned out they already sent a check to the repair shop. I have no idea why they already did that. They stopped payment on that one and issued us a new one. |

Not if you eat so many hot dogs you post about them, you'd probably just want to look at a final expense policy then.
