I refer here to collections of songs sold together on a single medium. You can include cassettes and eight tracks as well. Now, most albums contain 3 to 5 good songs that are expected to get radio play with the rest being throwaways. Seldom do you find an album that has no filler. Here are a few with no filler. Van Halen - Van Halen I Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime Eagles - Hotel California Metallica - Mater of Puppets AC/DC - High Voltage Def Leppard - Pyromania Guns 'n' Roses - Appetite for Destruction What's on your list?

And I've always called them "albums" and if I'm being kitschy, even "records" because I don't think either term is specific to vinyl (like "video" can mean DVD and not just VHS).
