That song on the Dexter promo is sooo fitting! He's at the age where his instincts are insisting he learn to hunt. He is hunting your feet, so the toy is a great idea. I would also add a firm "No." whenever he does it. When mine was that age I picked up some of those little soft-spike balls (the size of jacks balls) and distracted him by tossing them close by, then, much like training a dog, encouraged him to pick it up, then to come to me. Eventually he figured out that I got really happy if he brought the ball to me, and would not only pet him, but toss it again, and he started to hunt that instead of my feet. Yours is at the perfect age to teach him to fetch. The soft spiked balls are really easy for them to catch, with a claw, or to pick up with their mouths. Half the time mine does flying leaps (up to 5 feet in the air) and simply catches the thing. It's more fun and less painful than hunting of the feet, which he gave up almost immediately after the catch or fetch game started.

We were in the pit up against the front rail right in front of Trent!! I could not have been any closer to him (about 8 feet) and got amazing pics (hence my avi) and some video. Yesterday, we bought pre-sale pics to the newly added Tulsa show...and contemplating going to the San Antonio show as well. The Dallas Morning News said he wasn't allowing press pics because he didn't feel well. You wouldn't even know that...he was more energetic than when we saw him 2 years ago. ETA...on topic: I would be horrified if I were Renny if they would have taken her up on it. But, she would have deserved it.
