But all of this was based from all these suppositions that have nothing to do with what Dan has done in the game, and more like generalizations of Dan's background.I don't know Dan's background, other than he was raised Catholic, but my take on him as a person is based primarily on how he has conducted himself on the show. One need only observe Dan's behavior on the show, listen to him, watch his body language, and then relate it to the behavior of others one has known over the years. From that, conclusions can be drawn, rightly or wrongly, about Dan's personality. Dan is exceptionally obsequious (sickeningly obsequious, if that isn't being redundant), more so than anyone else in that house and arguably more so than anyone who has ever appeared on past BB seasons. I see Dan interact with others and I see Eddie Haskell. Except, with Dan, I think it's less of an act. The way Dan's raises his voice in the DR (again, unlike any other houseguest) arguably indicates that he's trying really hard to be believed because he's fully aware he's not being honest. I don't trust the guy. I don't believe him. That smirk. The shifty body language. All that pretending. It comes too easily, like it's second nature. And I've seen it all before. |

Which is why I don't necessarily fault Renny for doing the same thing, she's playing a game. The difference is, we know Renny is wrong in most of her distrust of Dan (at least for the next few weeks). Right now, Renny is Dan's #4 out of the 8 people left .. It seems Renny considers Dan #6 or #7 in her list (preferring to get him booted in the next week or two) .. I don't think it would be good for Renny's game if she pushes that in the short term, but others can disagree with that assessment too. |
