So they'd have to be banally evil, and we end up with Survivor: DMV. Oh well, hopefully if the game activities were truly not engaging, we'll get to see lots of pretty animals... When is the media teleconference usually? I'm bout ready to get this show on the road...

Usually there are several nuggets in both the TVGuide preview and the teleconference. With the NFL starting this week we might even see a new promo or 2.

Aren't they an edited version of what was on EW.com last week? There Probst had spoilerish tidbits like "at one point Marcus had 3 people romantically interested in him and not all were females."

That contains this information an other tidbits about the games (See Place and Game Thread). The comments from Jeff were in the "'Survivor: Gabon': Meet the Players! article and contains video, background, contestant descriptions and Jeff descriptions of them. Same publication, different article. Jeff usually offers his pregame thoughts on contestants (we will see some in the TVGuide Channel preview). These could be post game, but in this context I'm hedging that these comments are pregame. ETA - per 13wannabe at Skills Jeff will be interviewed on TVG Channel on the 13th 8-9pm EDT. I like the Red tribe Fang, but i have a feeling that they will be the underdogs that go on a losing streak Like the Ravu tribe. I bet most of the yellow tribe makes it to the merge because Jeff was more descriptive about Marcus, Kelly, Ace, Jackie, and Paloma than overall. Last Edited By: Cman14 09/16/08 9:51 AM. Posts: 1392 (09/16/08 11:29 AM) Registered user More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I finally got around to watching the little comcast videos with Probst, which seemed to have been made a couple of days into the game (before the first tribal council). He was really talking up Ken's role around camp. I think the only others he mentioned were Randy and Matty, but nothing new. I dunno... Were the Fang on his mind because they were facing tribal council and he was thinking about who they might vote out? (He also totally dissed the entire country of Gabon as well as the idea of anyone, ever, voluntarily spending time there.)

I can't imagine Randy, Crystal, and the young guys on Red all getting along. I don't know sometimes those smarter young male leaders don't make the best first moves. They tend to get rid of weak players and leave strong opinionated players that put a tribe into a downward morale spiral they can't get out of.

Posts: 23 (09/20/08 1:23 PM) More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I think this is going to be a male dominated season like in Fiji, from Jeff's interview's most of the characterization comes the males, you have three arrogant people, Marcus, Ace and Randy the underdogs Ken and Bob and the "lovable" Matty. The only woman who stand out in my mind right now is Corrine-also arrogant Crystal-because of her size.
