ok, i've gone through about 4 or 5 episodes so far... and i'm a bit underwhelmed. maybe it's because i've seen shaun of the dead and hot fuzz and am expecting something of that calibre. this show is alright. i'm not so interested that i've felt compelled to sit and watch a marathon like i have with other shows i've rented on DVD. it's like a lot of the things that should be funny are just missing the mark for me. i don't even understand why they feel like they need to pretend to be a couple anymore. it seems like a weak premise and even unnecessary as far as the show is concerned? i'll keep watching it because so many people i agree with on TV and music insist it's brilliant, so maybe it gets better. don't get me wrong, I've laughed out loud at some things! but I'm not getting why so many people I know were pimping it out.

I'm not sure how anyone could see the Vulva/Flaps episode and not think it was absolute genius. But I guess I'm biased seeing they had the show on over here well before Shaun of the Dead was made, and that particular episode seemed like it was made for me because when it aired I was actually playing through Resident Evil 2 for the first time. I got all excited when I heard the music at the beginning.

I did like that one! The performance art and snobby art people were spot on. And the I realized at the credits Vulva was David Walliams. There was a line earlier, when Brian comes up to Tim's to get his mail and finds the letter opened already and Tim says something like... Well we both have "i"s in our name." I didn't mean to say it's a bad show, it's just me expectations were set soooo high. I bet if I'd seen it before SOTD I would have liked it a lot more.
