San Jose is Northern California.
Anything north of Tehachapi is Northern California. And ReLew is now to be considered as fully retarded as any poster in OT history. ETA: And I lerv TRho because...well, she's TRho. |

Little Feat and The Band are more southern rock than the doobie brothers.

I still can't believe you made a reference to the Mason Dixon line when discussing California geography.

Shut it gay man.
And The Band are COUNTRY ROCK. THERE is an HUGE diff between SOUTHERN rock and COUNTRY rock. Also I hate Little Feat. Feats Don't Fail Me Now--oh thats so funny. Not. |

especially since that line was surveyed in 1767 and only demarked the boundaries between Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and West Virginia
and California wasn't a state until way ler |

Reginald Lewis wrote: Tehachapi is so named because of an administrative error. The original inhabitants of the area were the Achapi indians. When whitey showed up and settled the windy, high-desert area, the decided to name the town in honor of the native tribe. However, when Miles Wasterford filed the paperwork naming the town, rather than naming it "The Achapi," the "h" and "e" were transposed, resulting in "Teh Achapi." When the clerk filed it, he changed the capitalization of "Achapi" and strung the words together, with "Tehachapi" ultimately being the name of the town. OK, that's not really true but it's what I told my sister, who lives there... |

Reginald Lewis wrote: I'm going to need definitions for country rock and southern rock then. I hear recently that Southern Rock, is country with an extra guitar. So then what are the Eagles and all those southern california bands? Like Poco and that dead dude and emmylou harris? |

The Eagles are Country rock (unless you are referring to the peeps who should have simply flown Frodo to Mt Doom). Poco is country rock. Ditto Firefall.
Emmylou Harris is a cunt. Southern rock is rock with a Southern flavour. Kind of a drawly thang. ZZ Top are NOT Southern rock!

What was the decision on Creedance Clearwater Revival? They're from California. Not even Southern California. |

The Band is mostly from Canada. What's your point?

they were before country or southern rock were considered categories, so I'd call them plain rock

Where you are from has NOTHING to do with whether you are Southern rock. TARDS. The Van Zant brothers were born in Iowa. That doesnt disqualify Lynyrd Skynyrd
from being Southern rock.
