Elina is nothing special and looks like a transgendered Carrot Top.
2. She's the most attractive out of everyone.
3. She has red hair so she looks like anyone else who has red hair?

Yes, Russia is a legitimate European country, and Elina is from Ukraine (I think).

The fact that their promo is pretty much all Sheena (she even has a conf. in it!) means that she's guaranteed to stay.No it doesn't. There was an extended preview of last week, and it was all about Joslyn. I don't think that Sheena will be able to survive another bottom 2. If her edit keeps up, bitch is dead. She bombs the challenge and the photoshoot, for she is too vulgar in both. Is Russia considered part of Europe? How dumb of a bitch are you? I believe so, yes. She moved to the U.S. when she was 8. |

Wow. All the asians popping out of the woodwork to put in their two cents! I didn't think the argument in this episode was such a big deal but apparently
it is and it struck a chord with people, either for or against the Euro-centric cultural background argument.
Can I be the first one to say both sides, Sheena and Elina/Marjorie, were all a little too self-centered? They both made it all about culture, either as an emotional crutch or the assimilation argument, when it was completely besides the point. Everyone grows up differently no matter what their ethnic or cultural background and everyone adjusts to their environment differently and interacts with people differently. Sheena is comfortable being loud and outspoken. Marjorie is still coming out of her shell. Elina is restrained. Those are their personalities. And they all could do with a little bit more maturity. (But then so could most people no matter what their age. And that atheist argument against Elina was stupid beyond belief. As for the episode, I completely agreed that Joslyn needed to go. She has been sucking for far too long to last any longer. I was totally taken in by the last call out at elimination. When Tyra said "Joslyn, you'll survive this." I was like "OMFG. WTF!!!" And then the cut to Elina's picture.... Brilliant! Best fakeout so far. Nice for Analeigh getting recognized! The only thing that would have made it better would have been if she said "Easy, breezy, beautiful Covergirl... yo." |

After being taken to the video clip of Marjorie and Elina, I rewatched the 'spoilers'. But now have a new conclusion about the Final 3.

sugarrhill, you keep having the same argument and you're no more right now than you were before. The most successful working models are not automatically "supermodels". They need to cross over from the world of fashion to the larger cultural zeitgeist in order to achieve that benchmark. The models you are talking about haven't. Ergo, they are not supermodels. Alex is correct.Let's face it, Drew, the only reason you know Giselle Bunchen is because she's dating Tom Brady. Just like most Americans know supermodels by who their dating. A supermodel increases her cache by dating musicians, actors, or athletes. But just because you don't know who they are doesn't mean they aren't supermodels. Supermodels are defined by their earning power, not by their celebrity status. If it was just based on their celebrity status then Paris Hilton would qualify as a supermodel. Linda Evangelista was supermodel because of what she earned in the fashion industry, as opposed to Rebecca Romijn or Charlize Theron that were successful models but never supermodels. They were more successful than Cindy Crawford in their transitions to Hollywood, but they weren't more successful than her as models and thus weren't supermodels. |
