I'm one of those who lost interest in S2 about half way through. Now I'm trying to catch up on DVD because season 3 looks like it's going to be
really good.
Maxx, great countdown! Sylar's poster looks FIERCE. |

Exclusive: NBC Talent Banned from 'Scrubs' FinaleSep 8, 2008, 10:46 AM | by Michael Ausiello Categories: Scrubs
For the death-defying comedy's likely series finale on ABC, which was shot last week for a probable spring airing, series creator Bill Lawrence gathered all of the significant guest stars from the past eight years for a jaw-dropping scene that'll rival the mass reunion in Seinfeld's sendoff. But two actors currently appearing on NBC programs -- Heroes' Masi Oka and Chuck's Sarah Lancaster -- weren't permitted to participate. "They both wanted to do it, but NBC said they weren't allowed to," explains Lawrence, who, as you know, has never been shy in calling out his old network for its lack of Scrubs promotion and constant time-slot changes. "Typical classy stuff." Although networks tend to frown on letting their stars fraternize with the enemy, things have been loosening up in recent years. For instance, ABC gave Scrubs leading lady Sarah Chalke the OK to continue her recurring gig on CBS' How I Met Your Mother this season. In turn, the Eye loaned out The Unit's Scott Foley for Scrubs' penultimate episode. Even NBC has been known to play nice on occasion: The net is allowing its newest Law & Order: SVU ADA, Michaela McManus, to revisit her alma mater, The CW's One Tree Hill, this season. Natch, the double standard is not lost on Lawrence, who suggests that the slight is almost certainly sour grapes over Scrubs' defection. "But [Masi and Sarah] should not have been part of that fight," he sighs. "It felt kind of petty to me." Well, despite the NBC dis, the scene in question -- which featured such Scrubs grads as Tom Cavanagh, Amy Smart, and Nicole Sullivan -- "turned out awesome," tattles one spywitness. "It was very emotional. It should be an incredible finale." And before you ask, yes, that was the scene I was invited to appear in -- and would have appeared in had "forces beyond my control" not intervened. (Someone was going to ask, right?) |

Gosh dangit, when is NBC going to release the rest of these desktop wallpapers? I'm tired of Tracy and Parkman gracing my work and home comps, and
I've already played out the other three available.

The problem with Season 2 wasn't that the episodes were bad, far from it. It's just that the first 6 weren't nearly as good as any episodes from
Season 1. It's a classic case of the expectation bar being raised extremley too high for a 2nd Season and the creative team not knowing how to respond.
If Season 2 had been Season 1, I believe the show would have still become the wicked phenomenon that it has become. Every episode is intelligant, has it's great moments, and for the most part keeps you compelled. The last 5 episodes especially kick major ass. The Season was simply plagued by the first 5 or 6 episodes trying to do too much and the crew second guessing themselves. I can almost guarentee that you see a different story come Season 3. |

My problem with season 2 was that they stretched 2 episodes worth of story into 5 episodes of screen time. Hiro was in ancient Japan, way too long. They
dragged out the Peter story & the Claire story way too long. Maya & Alejandro had little to no connection to the rest of the heroes so we didn't
invest anything in them. Ditto for Monica. I thought Nikki/jessica was handled poorly. Elle should have been introduced sooner. They should have made Mojinder
less of a fucking moron

My problem with season 2 was that it reused so many stuff from season 1. Claire in a cheerleading outfit. Also what the point of that scene where she stood up
to the main cheerleader and was going to jump off the thingy @ the gym but did NOTHINg?
Also it would have helped if the new charecters were actually likeable. West- CREEPY fuck. Maya- whiny bitch. Aljendro- useless charecter. Ellie- complex, but weird and ugh. Bob- pretty gay. Monica & Adam were pretty awesome. Sylar as main villian...um no. His storyline was boring and boring. Yawn. Oh no, he killed someone and *gasp* took their power!? no way I think the first mistake the producers made was in season 1 finale. They should have kept it as nathan exploding/peter dying to make it even more epic. Then have the focus leave peter/claire/hiro and shift to other charecters. ALSO They need to write more events that unite & connect the entire cast. Have the heroes have like meet. simply seeing them all in different places but just not knowing anyone else exists sucks. Plus I didn't get why peter couldn't go through the wall to get the virus. |

Um, Season 1 wasn't all that consistently phenomenal either. Shit, that thing dragged, folks complained about filler episodes, and it really wasn't
until "Company Man" (EPISODE FUCKING 17!) that folks truly raved about an episode. And even then it lagged to the finale confrontation they'd
dragged out all season long. At least Season 2 was short. :)

Season 1 also looked better up against LOST which most fans would agree was at its nadir. The two shows drew constant comparisons and I seem to remember every other post being a dig at LOST. That said, I think Season 1 on its own was much better than Season 2. |

Elle, Bob, Monica, and Adam were great characters from season two. I think Maya could have been a great character as well, if they weren't so haphazard
with her storyline.
I just finished watching "The Line", "Out of Time" and "Four Months Ago" those were great episodes. |
