It just makes it easier for him to do his SUPERKEWL finger head cut thing that they have to make sure to feature at least one and half times every episode. I think he might have started with telekinesis. Immediately after receiving the cure, he was able to move the spinach can. If he really did have to start from scratch, then that must have been a power he was born with (and not stolen.) Another possibility is that he "absorbs" power by seeing how a brain is constructed with the power (shown in the Claire scene.) Maybe he just remembered how the telekenisis was set up. So the only distinct people are Tracy, Niki, and Barbara? Niki = Jessica = Gina? But Barbara could also be one of Niki's personalities I guess, right? Tracy, Niki, and Jessica are all definitely distinct people. Grenadejumper pointed out that Jessica's tombstone showed she was born 2 years after Niki, so she is not one of the triplets/ clones. Barbara is probably also a distinct character, but she could be a Niki personality. And Gina is a personality of Niki's. I think.... ETA: Just saw your post GJ

Keep him on the show, but just don't have him say anything. Have him sit behind a desk and nod or something, preferably NOT as the fly, and preferably shirtless. As far as the Writers Strike ruining the show... You all seriously thing last season, written BEFORE the strike, was GOOD????

I actually liked a lot of the characters they added last season. Monica and Elle are probably my two favorite characters added (post season 1.) Daphne would be right behind Tracy (if she counts as a new character.) I loved her uncomfortable hug with Micah at the end of the last episode. As far as the Writers Strike ruining the show... You all seriously thing last season, written BEFORE the strike, was GOOD???? I went back and watched last season before the start of this one, and I actually liked it. Way better than I remembered it being. Then again, I hadn't had a heroes fix in 8 months, so maybe that was it.

Since these powers stem from the brain, he can examine a brain, "see" how the power works, and is somehow able to simulate it (that's the leap). So, yeah, all he'd really need to do to re-attain a lost power, is to remember how it works. So, sucks for him, he must of lost Charlie's power, and therefore several others along with it. The TK must have been easier for him to remember, as he did it so often. I took Angela's comment that they'd find a way to keep him from needing to kill, that, perhaps, they'd locate someone with an "X-Ray Vision"-type power, something that would allow him to study a brain without cutting the cap off.

In any case, yeah, Sylar's power has always been to be able to see how things work and "fix" them if they were broken. Everytime he takes a power, I'm assuming he "fixes" his brain to conform to the new ability. Also, his very first ability that he gained was the telekenisis. As to why that was retained while everything else was lost, who knows -- I blame it on selective memory/writing.

I wonder if that history-learning power would give him more insight into how brains worked and perhaps give him enough knowledge to learn how to gain powers without actually seeing the brain? Or perhaps he'd learn how the person came to access those powers and handle them and could learn that way. With all the power-evolving and that tease about not knowing everything about Sylar, I'm buying that later on he won't need to open skulls to learn powers. Though I wonder if that will still curb his murderous tendancies. Probably not.

R.I.P Donna OMG, there are more online Heroes other than cellphone bitch? I haven't read those things in awhile. I better start again. <_< Charlie had the power that a Hero has had that I want. It'd make school sooo easy. Wait, why was she a waitress when she could've easily gotten a degree with her super memory? I hate when characters die, I immediately miss them.

Eden was the one I was most unhappy to see die. I thought Candice's death was similarly stupid. Nuke guy...Charlie, a little. Basically anyone who has been sacrificed at the altar of shoving Sylar's alleged badassery down my throat? Those are the ones I miss. At least DL and Niki died in their own storylines. All of the dead Heroes, or at least most of them, were more interesting than Nathan, Claire, etc. But then it wouldn't be the Petrelli show if we let those other characters live, would it? Hopefully Mohinder will be next. The elder "heroes" or whatever they were...I wish they hadn't died. They were interesting to me.

She had a cool power, and if the actress playing her had to leave for a different show, just get a different one. It was the easiest character EVER to recast! Now we have such exciting characters as "can know where an item is from (wtf?)" girl. THRILLING.
