i'm pretty sure Peter starting wit the power to be around other people or touch them or something and get their power, like he only was able to fly because
he was around Nathan, etc.

Peter started with his Absorbing power. His mom's Psychic Dream power was his first absorbed, I think. (Or maybe dad's?)
Oh, I don't think Peter and Sylar's powers will advance(as evidenced by Claire going to shoot Peter), they stay at the level they were received at.Not following you.

4x03 Review:
- I was really liking where the Tracy arc was going before they teased the whole cloning and or machine thing last night. I still really dig the character and think Ali Larter is doing tremendous work, but I am not in the least bit excited about the direction of the angle... at this time. - I hope (I'm sure it is) Nathan's story is going somewhere. I was surprised we didn't see Linderman last night and it was clear he was only involved to keep the God angle fresh in people's mind and to advance the Tracy arc... I'll keep hope out on this. - I really need confirmation on Sylar. The chick Mamma Petrelli had "feed" him is the reason for his attitude change correct? With that said, I really dug all that Quinto did last night. He was humorous yet kept the integrity and aura of the character alive. I originally thought (and still do) they may have pulled the trigger on his "turn" too soon but I think him and HRG together could really work and has legs to last for a while. Good stuff here. - Screw them for killing off Francis Capra so early. I obviously say this as an extremley biased and loyal Veronica Mars fan but this guy could have THRIVED on this show. A built in interesting character with a great actor to only perpetuate the character's strengths, it would have been great. Poor decision by the writing staff on this one. Good work Francis, you should have been given more to work with. - I really dig Matt in Africa. I'm not sure why and I have no clue where it's heading but it is working for me. Have to admit to missing how he attained the paint the future power though. I'm assuming it was the African's walkman?? - Hiro, Ando, and Daphne have a great chemistry. For everyone who says that this show is constantly too serious, I must point to these 3. Everything they have done so far has been very amusing but more importantly very well done. I like involving the Haitian and teasing us Linderman style with who Daphne works for. I am really intrigued and hope that this carries out for several more episodes. - Claire and her bio-mom was everything I was hoping for. Really good stuff here and I can't wait to see how they build off it. I am as critical on the Claire character as anyone but I really have to give Hayden her due. She is a tremendous actress (one of the 5 best on TV in my opinion) and always delivers a believable performance. Good stuff. - I also thought all of Peter's (both of 'em) stuff was good last night. For as long as he is on the show he will be critical to the plot. I have always enjoyed Milo's style of acting and the character itself. The preview for next week really got me amped up, but I like many of you, hope it is the last bit of time travel we see for a while - preferably for the rest of the season. - Overall, I thought this was a really good episode and that when you put it along side the first two it has been a pretty strong season thus far. Yes, the show is too jumpy in points and getting a little confusing even for me, but I like that the creative team is at least making a conscious effort to be the complete opposite of last season. I think that once all of these arcs get to a stable ground that you see the show find a nice blend between S1 and S2 resulting in a very-very good product. Episode Rank: 8/10

A lot of questions answered in this weeks Behind the Eclipse! I picked out the ones that I knew some of you here had:
"Sylar acquires abilities based solely on examining brains alone -- no blood or adrenaline involved. Claire and Adam's abilities seem to be a function of their blood alone, as it revives both other evolved humans (such as Nathan) and normal humans (such as Noah) -- no adrenaline or brains involved. Now Mohinder is saying that it's adrenaline (while specifically stating that it's not blood). Can you reconcile these seemingly-contradictory bits of information for us?"
"Are we going to see any response from Nathan's wife and children to Nathan's near death experience?"
"In the first season, it was hinted that Claire would die if her brain or head was removed. In the second season, Adam confirmed that there was "no going back" from having your head blown off. Sylar, however, said that Claire could not die, no matter what he did. Does this contradict the first season's tagline 'Save the Cheerleader, Save the World?'"
ZooBot23 is wondering about the chain of command at Yamagato:
"Since Sylar says that he is now immortal from adapting Claire's powers, doesn't it also mean that Peter is immortal as well?"
"Who was Future-Peter running away from in the opening, and why would he need to run anywhere when he can teleport himself? Why would Claire think that she could kill Future-Peter with a gun?"

So...Mohinder is going to screw everything up in the world by giving people powers? Is Mohinder going to be the one experimenting with the formula and making
powers available? It would not surprise me if he fucked up massively.

Sylar is The Pretender! j/k
I'm loving this season. I loved the scenes with Sylar and Noah. "And we're gonna need some coffee. Decaf. You drink decaf right?" Hiro, Daphne and Ando are really perfect together and it breaks up the eps to see them "nemesis" each other. Pikachu hehe. I'm really interested to see where Tracy's storyline goes and if Micah ends up with her since she is probably his "aunt" or something like that. To the few folks that just keep bitching about every single thing about every single episode and every single season of this show. It's obviously not for everyone, but for the love of Mama Petrelli just walk away then people. I mean sure being disappointed in parts is normal, but everything every episode? Jebus. This is one incredibly rare show and I'm fucking psyched it's so different and kick ass. It's brilliant, well cast, sad, crazy cool, preposterous, breathtaking at times, confusing, OTT and FUN. After it's gone it's back to bullshit recycled cop/forensic/california plastic teen angst shows. I don't like everything about the show and like most posters there is one or two characters or story lines I roll my eyes at and love to wish death upon, but it isn't going to poison the entire show for me each week or season and even if it did I'd just change the channel. Relax and enjoy the mother fucking ride. |

"relax and enjoy"
I started to overdose on the all the explanations and analysis of the show last season. I stopped watching before the season ended. I never figured out if it was a crappy season or if I was trying too hard to make sense of things. This season I decided to start watching again and do just what you posted. I enjoy the bits of background that people are quoting here but I won't go searching for much of it nor am I going to try to make sense of any (dis) continuity. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the ride. So far, so good. |

Daphne is the best hero to come along since season one. She's like Cyndi Lauper meets the Flash. I want Ando to go totally evil ASAP. I'm so sick of
Hiro, I want something to happen where he gets permanently stuck in prehistoric times and gets eaten by a dinosaur.
Since it looks like normals will be getting super powers, I hope after Ando, the next to get powered up are Claire's brother, the dog Mr Muggles, and they bring back Clea Duvall and give her some hot powers too. |

What is it with people and the fact that they take the most convoluated path to reach their solutions?
At another board I post at, people don't want to grasp the fact that Matt's powers were evolving. They take this over complicated explanation that he's using his mind to tap into the Usutu body and he's controlling Usutu's powers. WTF?! Seems like people don't understand K.I.S.S! |

I mean they must be clones, right? That seems the most logical explanation. I hope so, so Ali Larter can continue to be killed off but always have a new person to play. <3 She'll be like a Cylon. The Stepfords weren't exactly clones, per se. The five were artifically inseminated using one fo Emma Frost's eggs, then those five were cloned. I just think Niki, Tracy, and Barbara? were just artifically inseminated and were birthed by one woman, then separated into their respective families with altered birth records after that. Something shady probably. |

So the only distinct people are Tracy, Niki, and Barbara? Niki = Jessica = Gina? But Barbara could also be one of Niki's personalities I guess, right?

I have no clue, that was just me speculating on the information we have so far.
I'm just assuming that Niki, Tracy, and this Barbara, Dr. Zimmerman mentioned were triplets, and that Gina/Jessica were just coping mechanisms for Niki to help deal with the death of Jessica and the manifestation of her powers. I mean we know Jessica was a real person, but we also know that Jessica was two years younger then Niki. |
