I just went to the local H.E.B. store in Spring Branch and started laughing because the store was in "pre-disaster mode" There seemed to be more
checkers and courtesy clerks than shoppers. Mostly old people were in there buying supplies, almost all water was gone, but the checker said a new truck was
coming in later with more. I got dog biscuits, water, paper towels and a newspaper. I am ready.

I'm not quite sure what toes for the bricks translates to - some kind of cement poured around the outside ot the patio, but underneath the soil to hold the
bricks as a unit is all I have
he knows what he's doing- he has a masters in engineering and worked inspecting concrete for a while oh, after some googling, it's troughs, not toes |

I called my doctor's office today to see if my appointment was still on tomorrow, and the girl said they would be open. So, we'll see about that.

The worst part will be the flooding and impassible roads.

Good, maybe we'll get rain up in Dallas. We're supposed to hit 107° today.

Heh, I believe the big Marriott over on Briarpark has huge ass generators. If your power goes out, just book it over there.
Hope it doesn't flood like hell, and hope the masses don't get too hysterical after watching tv weathermen. |
