AA meetings replace the addiction of alcohol. I've never met a recovering alcoholic that wasn't addicted to AA meetings.

AA meetings replace the addiction of alcohol. I've never met a recovering alcoholic that wasn't addicted to AA meetings. My father, both brothers, and over a dozen other family members are AA members, or were when they were alive, and I can say that the addiction to the meetings fades over time. It may take 10 years, it definitely takes at least 5 until the addiction to booze fades and they get past it and on to other aspects of their lives. But even if they are addicted to meetings it beats the drinking. |

My name is yukugajoob and I'm an alcoholic. I've been sober since July 8, 1996. I haven't been to a meeting in almost three years. Don't tell 'em your name first, dolt. You're supposed to hope they guess it. |
