Well I would hope not Undertakeress. Everyone should have their own mind. The problem with religion is a lot of people who are religous are brainwashed if they
believe it or not. I mean some people follow this book really close and it's scary... it's just fictional book.

God is a corgi/border collie mix. She loves you and wants to lick the inside of your sweatiest, rankest shoes. She also wants to sleep on your bath robe.
Omni has a picture of the bath robe of Turin.

Pay attention, Amy. dmb just schooled you. Don't confuse all people with religious beliefs with fundamentalists who take the bible literally (except for
the parts that they choose to ignore).
Einstein believed in God, just not a personal God. I don't think many would describe Einstein as "brainwashed" or accuse him of not being an independent thinker. |

And Guppie speaks the troof, Amy, the problem's not with religion, it's with people (some of them at least, and they make the most noise). |

I choose to believe (or rather, not believe) but everyone is different and one Christian doesn't define all Christians.
And I'm signing up on the dog god train... |

I was thinking today about how lots of people I know are all in this unusual church that they recently created for themselves...it's a small town and there
are other established churches, yet they opened their own? And they don't label their church at all...I was just wondering if they have some really unusual
ideals or anything going on there cuz it's not a mainstream church. And why do I know so many of it's members?

My dad says that the reason there are so many baptist churches is because one or two people won't agree with how the current church is being run, or their
theories, and they'll split off to form their own church. Just drive down in the south and there's a baptist church on every corner.

Use Donald Trump as your higher power as he sits in his thrown room in heaven above adorned in gold and rubies and diamonds and emeralds.

But isn't a main part of the twelve steps that one is powerless to change, but your higher power can help? Why can't it be yourself? Why does one have to find some kind of higher power besides their own will, motivation, and strength. Personally, I think finding one's own power is a lot more enlightening and rewarding than relying on something else. If I can get myself into this mess, I can get myself out. If we are gonna rely on some other higher power, I vote for dogs as well. They're compassionate, good listeners, always there for you when you need a pick me up, and they are God backwards. It's destiny that they should be worshipped. |
